... Or is Ariel BSing?

And when was the last OW MMA Match in the US u can recall??

I think it has to be open weight. Kens around 205 and royce is a little under 180.

Should be interesting.

didn't see what ariel said, but Bas said on inside mma that it was open weight and has already been approved by the commission.

Technically, they probably could've gotten away with it being light heavyweight (186-205). Shamrock came in at around 203 for the Slice fight, and Gracie walks around 185, I believe.

I think this is more considered an elderly weight fight. :P

Not sure if maybe they're too old to work down to an even weight class.

Open weight...I like that

More realistic. Even if this is an old man grave match

Weight classes are so artificial.

Don't you have to get some sort of license to be allowed to fight? If so, whoever decided that Ken should be allowed to continue fighting should be sacked, it's clearly not good for his health. Not that Gracie is going to do anything to him, this match is a freak show.

It might become one of those 'buried alive' matches from the WWF attitude era days, maybe we can get run ins from Royler and Frank.

I say make it open weight with NO drug testing. That will be fun.

Doesn't have to be open weight. Could be light heavyweight. Shamrock comes in at around 205 naturally now and Gracie will come in naturally about 185. Drink a bit of water, eat some food and he'll be 186 easy
