They are all basicly fighting former STRIKEFORCE and invicta girls. It's basicly the same girls just with a diffrent label strapped on top of it

It's no more legit, but most people on here will disagree because Rousey's has the words "UFC" on it

Only difference is Cyborg was caught cheating, so there is less questions about Rouseys.

Though I think they are all cheating.

Ronda has fought much better competition. She also has yet to be stripped of her belt for PED use. That said, they are both clearly the best fighter at their respective weights.

Girls belts aren't any different. There isn't any difference to me between Invicta or former strikeforce girls and ufc girls. The talent level is the same because it's the same girls. The only win that impresses me on Rhondas record is Meow Meow Zingano. Not impressed with Cyborg's record other than Carano but she is fighting bigger girls though.

Cyborg herself is illegitimate. She's probably the most egregious proven cheater in the history of the sport.

*With possible exception of Josh Barnett. Between the two of them, it's really a quality (Cyborg) vs. quantity (Barnett) question.

didnt even know she had a belt.....i know that kick boxer...messed her up good...

Do you have the same standard for every fighter that get's busted for cheating?

Cris Cyborg has been the reigning "BADDEST WOMEN ON THE PLANET" since 2008.

2008.

Ronda's belt earns her millions of dollars while Cyborg's belt earns her $100,000.

They're both worth 3.50, in case that hasn't been done yet.

Here are the current top 30 p4p women MMA fighters in the world (Courtesy Zec1234 who puts a ton of work into these things)

11 of the top 30 fight in Ronda Rousey's division - the UFC women's bantamweight division

1 of the top 30 fight in Cyborg's division - Cyborg herself

Rousey's record against the top 30 p4p in the world is 6-0

Cyborg's record against the top 30 is 0-0 - having not fought any of them.

"They (Rousey and Cyborg opponents) are all just a bunch of chicks so basically it's all the same thing, right?" is not a coherent argument.

She was busted for steroids once........

Are you fucking stupid ?

Not agreeing with the other guy's statement (though she is a bad cheater), but Cyborg was also caught attempting to manipulate a scale because she was overweight

Ronda is in the largest most established mixed martial arts organization in the world. The top MMA org. That is why her belt is worth more than Cyborg's. Do you think fighters dream of being in Bellator or Invicta or Strikeforce? :icon_lol: An up and coming fighters goal is to make it to the UFC. This is why Ronda's belt is the more valuable of the two. Period, its not even close.

Yes, generally, but the fact that I called her the most egregious proven cheater already illustrates that I think her transgression is worse than most, again with the possible exception of Josh Barnett.

Look at the record of the girls they put in front of Cyborg, they are a joke. Plus, the PEDs and cyborg sistematically calling out a lighter fighter to fight her overweight

First, the steroids issue. Cyborg is lucky that she got away with a 1 year suspension, her title and NC instead of having multiple fight results erased.

For example, let's look what happened to Montgomery...

Tim Montgomery was banned for two years Tuesday, and the 100-meter world record he once held was wiped from the books.

His world record is erased for good, along with every result, medal and prize money from the past five years.

Or Lance Armstrong

SADA announced today that Lance Armstrong has chosen not to move forward with the independent arbitration process and as a result has received a lifetime period of ineligibility and disqualification of all competitive results from August 1, 1998 through the present

If Cyborg was steroid free, then in terms of competition you could make an argument in terms of validity of the title as best of her weight division, though it's now a lot harder to make as Invicta is no longer the best woman's featherweight division at 145 given that Bellator currently has been busy populating their 145 woman's division.

As for the "validity" of her title, the problem is that she earned her initial title with Strikeforce which has since folded. Since she started with Invicta (new title), she has fought Muxlow, Coenen, Tweet and Van Duinn.

Of the current best 145 female fighters, 6 of them don't even fight for Invicta. Some of them Cyborg has beaten, but in essence she has not "defended" the Invicta belt against those fighters.

http://www.fightmatrix.com/mma-ranks/womens-featheweight/

In other words, the Invicta belt is actually LESS legitimate because she has not actually defended it against 6 of the top 10 in the last 4 years and has actually only fought 4 times in the last 3 years since she started fighting for Invicta and has in reality only defended that belt twice.

So long story short, No, the title is NOT as legitimate as the UFC title in any way, shape or form.

Ronda makes a few mil a fight, has movie deals, is on TV regularly and a host of other ventures and Cyborg has ....Tito...
Yea I think Ronda's belt means a bit more....
