She's a great athlete and would probably kick my ass, but its pretty clear her genders what's getting her most of the medias attention.
I remember back when Danica made her debut Indy Racing became somewhat relevant, or at least made the news.
I understand there are some obvious differences: Danica was making her Indy debut and was still unproven whereas Ronda's the Champ. Also Danica competed against men, the same can't be said for Ronda until she fights Cyborg.

Wait, people want to see a pretty girl beat up other girls? Of course the UFC is going to market that. It doesn't hurt that she is a talented fighter either.

Trust me, other Nascar drivers understand why Danica get more attention than they do. They also understand that the more popular the sport is, the more money there is to spread around.

Once the UFC puts on a couple of women's fight, the new division and champ will settle in. Until then, more pics please.

Danica competed against males.. Rhonda is just in the same building as males..

Her looking good helps but she's "the full package" as Dana puts it, thats why shes been successful. If it were only on looks Michelle Waterson and others would have taken WMMA in the UFC along time ago.

She competed against men - isnt she a racing driving? That's a lot different than fighting.

If her name was Dan she wouldn't even be in Neckcar. Let's face it she's a marketing tool period. Driving a car and making 800 left turns is different than a female fighting a male.

As said above Ronda is not MMA's Danica because she actually wins. Plus neither of them are particularly hot.

Danica Patrick never wins. Ronda wins every time out. She's the anti-Danica.

Danica > Rounda

Looks and competition.

Wrong.

Ronda > Danica

Danica is a mid-tier driver who was propelled further because of her revenue intake from sponsors.

Rousey isnt the equivalent of her.

Also, in racing, the playing field is a lot more level with men vs. women so the fact that Danica is a woman doesn't really have that much to do with it.
That just shows how little you know about high-level racing. There is an incredible amount of strength and endurance required. It's not just car + skill. Women are disadvantaged against the men, so the fact that she is a mid-level driver at almost the highest level of the sport is quite amazing.
