His last couple fights went into decision, but he didnt showcase anything worthy remembering.

The only good fight I remember was with Rua for belt...

Yea of course Gus one was good too, but it was only good because of the back and forth touch to it. No fancy moves, spinning back fists and so on.

When he beats Cormier I would love to see him going to HW.

He has one of the best resumes for sure, but he seems a giant douchebag to me with all that eye-pokes and hit-and-runs. An incredibly talented douchebag, but still i am hoping someone beats all 205 pounds of shit out of him soon.

Well Jones has beaten everyone they have put against him, except Matt Hamill. I'd love to see a rematch, just to witness Matt's elbow crushing forehead at work again.

He beat pretty elite competition. He is excellent in some parts of mma and very good in any of them. That's what makes him a easy pick for the #1 P4P.

But i don't get this:
Why he isn't getting more backlash for fighting out of prime fighters like Weidman did?
Or why he isn't getting more backlash for fighting clearly smaller opponents and winning mostly based on his reach like McGregor does?

I think it comes down to the three facts:
1. Did he beat some names?
2. Does he have any BIG holes in his game?
3. Do i like him

That makes the P4P lists

He beat a who's who of mma look at the record only person that gave him a tough match up was gustafsson although if DC stuck to his close dirty boxing like he was in the earlier rounds i think DC would of been a tougher fight than it was.

Lmao, people shits way more on Jones reach than Conor's

Obviously. I can't believe that would need to be questioned. I really dislike the guy, but it is obvious he is at the top.

If he keeps fighting/stays active. I'd like to see him take on some smaller heavyweights. He's probably big enough right now.

Past 3 Years:

Jones DECISION'ed Cormier
Jones DECISION'ed Glover
Jones DECISION'ed Gustafsson... barely
Jones beat a MIDDLEWEIGHT..... a mental midget, at that

And the fight before that,
Jones beat another MIDDLEWEIGHT

Hmm, this posting style seems familiar. You're not the same guy that was arguing Conor was P4P #1 over Jones are you?

Only finishes count? How about longevity over the best competition? How many people can say the same? Maybe you are talking out of your ass a little.

Pettis too, at one point.

P4P is not a career achievement recognition.
It's about the 'present'/'recent' status.

Not sure about P4P(until he fights the top HWs), but he is the most dominant fighter in MMA at the moment imo.
