Was just looking at Rampage's record and he's got 16 KO's in 37 fights, which isn't bad, but hasn't knocked out someone since christian mpumbu and beltran shortly before that. Mpumbu was feb 2014 and beltran was november 2013.
Before those two KO's however, you have to go all the way back to 2008 when he KO'd wanderlei.

However he's always marketed as this ferocious knockout artist. Do you thin his power is overrated? Or do you think over time, people have just figured him out?
I'm hoping he can KO everyone in the Bellator tournament, but I doubt it'll happen

You do have a point although his hands were definitely among the best for a while.

Back in the days he was more known for his slams.

yeh there's no denying that in his prime he was to be feared, but seems like he's lost an awful lot. Maybe it's because he doesn't care as much

He stopped KOing people right around the time he past his prime. The Jones fight was probably the last time he actually took fighting seriously.

Yeah, I've been saying this for years. His last UFC knockout was in 2008, even though he's had 8 additional UFC fights since then. He couldn't even KO Keith Jardine or Matt Hamill. Rampage is simply overrated here, even the "prime" version.

Prime Rampage brutalized guys. Not always clean KO, but he beat the shit out of them. Just ask Prime Chuck.

Rumble vs prime Rampage would have been a war

this. sherdog white dorks be like "OMG Scary black man, he's the best and can KO anyone!"

A big factor was cutting to 205 he struggled for years to make it and it showed in his cardio.

At full fledged 265 for 3+ fights he should have alot of power and his ko probability goes up quite a bit.

He was fun to watch, but he is passed his prime. This slams were awesome.

Jon Jones ruined Rampage's knee(s). He was never the same after that fight.

I am a Rampage fan, but he is past his prime. He use to be a force. He just fights for a pay check and doesn’t train anymore.

In 2017?.....YES

In 2003?.......NO!

He struggled to make 205 because he was and is out of shape. Why the fuck should he be 265lbs at 6'1"?

Is “Overated” the most over used word on Sherdog?

As other people have said, he's been way past his prime for years. In his prime and even sometimes out of his prime, his hands were to be feared. One punch could put you out, as could one of his slams. It's unfortunate that we haven't seen any crazy slams from him in years, but i'm assuming he doesn't attempt them for a reason. He's still a strong guy, but i don't think he has the strength among other things, to pull off those kind of slams anymore, especially against good opponents. Though i'm sure he could still pull some off against cans lol.
