To be honest I've never even heard of purple rice. Looking it up on google shows a lot of recipes for desserts, so I'm thinking high glucose volume = high GI.
Are you talking about purple rice that is served in Korean restaurants? If you are, I think it's normal white sticky rice that that takes on the color of the purple beans they are cooked with
