Is PEDs the only thing keeping Jones from GOAT?

Here’s a fact for you

Jones is the best ever

If you ignore suspensions this guy Is right.

Only a retard thinks GSP is actually a better fighter than Jones p4p.

I call GSP Goat because he never tested positive.

But lets be real for a minute. Would Jones ever lose to Serra level fighter or be smashed into retirement by Hendricks?

Fuck no, he would smash both guys.

Cocaine and duck pills are not PEDS, tainted supplements are not PEDS

If your boy Yoel can get away with it so can jones
Yoel didn't get away with it and Yoel is not a GOAT candidate who is being compared to actual GOAT candidates who have not destroyed their legacy by doing roids.

Also, lmao at "tainted supplements"

Fedor is the only thing keeping him from that

"...some had to snort cocaine to act insane..,"

When it comes to performance in the cage, I think Jones is the best we've seen.

A dick, hit and run, wrap vehicle w women into telephone pole, drugs, etc.

Very Un GSP and un Fedor like.

Jon is a hell of a fighter but he can never be GOAT because quality of character is required.

Yes, but is a big reason and it's never gonna go away.

none steriod related? Are you serious?

do steroids give him a long reach? or give him more height? or give him better bjj skills? or give him the ability to clinch or stay outside? The answer is NO...and according to usada and wada, he isn't cheating...it's only according to sherdoggers that he's cheating...i'll go by the actual experts...

He had to cheat twice against Cormier.

Cheating twice tells us he knew he didn’t have enough to win naturally after the first fight, so he risked getting caught again.

We’ll never know how great he really was.

The first fight it is not even alleged he cheated.

There is no proof Jones intentionally cheated and he's only tested positive for one fight he's participated in. He beat DC in a second fight.

If Jones really wasn't the greatest you wouldn't need to bring up his PED's(just look at AS critics don't even need to bring up the positive test because they don't need it to say he's not the best, with Jones it's all the haters have).

This thread existing kind of is an answer to the question in itself cause(almost) no one's willing to say Jones isn't the best based on actual flaws he had in the Octagon. GSP, Fedor, AS and whoever else is put in the discussion have flaws that make asterisking pointless. Jones doesn't have these.

Hey man you know those labs that make creatine also make steroids
Dirty equipment equals tainted sups

It is what it is

Also the fact that DJ exist and about to get another belt in another organization.

DJ has multiple losses and his wins are far far far less significant...

The problem is, once you're found to be roiding post-USADA, it's no longer an even playing field. So you have to take away all post-USADA wins (his last 3). When you do that he drops to top-10 all-time. Still very impressive but not GOAT.

We suspect that he has had one fight post USADA, against OSP, who is an average LHW and who did well against Jones. Did he do well bc he has an awkward style? Perhaps. Did he do well bc Jones was clean? Maybe so. IF it is true that Jones was juicing his entire career and was clean for OSP, he looked like a very beatable fighter. But we don't know for sure that that was the case, we can only speculate.

In what world do OSP do good against Jones. Not getting finished is not the same as doing good. OSP lost every round clearly and got his arm broke.

Nah. There is one thing that keep him from being GOAT, and it is not peds, as the other candidates also do them.

1a) He never moved up to prove himself/He cuts a lot of weight to get easier opponents.
1b) 30 fights, ten years undefeated at HW is a pretty big deal.

Whatever the case, Jones looked bad in that fight. It's basically universally agreed upon.

Oh I know amongst hardcore fans and DC it is. It just makes no sense. Nobody ever actually explains what looked bad. Just random things like "well he didn't finish him" or "he looked beatable" while not explaining what seemed beatable.
