"No one will stand up for this country! We need more patriots!"

-people who think wearing a facemask in public is too much a personal inconvenience to keep the country from falling apart

    Agreed brother

    Maybe I'm a little pessimistic.

You also won't be drawn into a historical discussion because we both know I got that one on lock. I think I only dropped five different instances of socialists being murdered for their part of the Labor Rights Movement. I got about twenty more incidences ready to go. Want to have that discussion? I've got 'em all queued up. Lets talk Socialists in American History and why you felt the need for quotation marks. It's a topic I'm well versed in.

I'm thinking now might be the perfect time for a dicktuck though.

Patriotism that isn't tied to the land, is a patriotism that's doomed to fail.

Most Americans don't even feel worthy of the land that they're treading on.

One can imagine that things would be different if America consisted only of natives who've roamed the earth for thousands of years. Patriotism would come as self-evident.

I'm happy to have a historical discussion with a mature adult. Got any of those?

You come off as a rambling mess, throwing random facts around, I applaud your ability to reference wikipedia though, did you google it or was it already bookmarked?

If you actually wanted to debate, you'd lay off the personal attacks but we all know that won't happen, you'd rather "win" and claim a morale victory then a factual one.

Incoming 10k word rant that has zero substance.

Sometimes “patriotism” even has a negative connotation...

It conjures up images of morons in small towns in Mississippi, etc.
It suggests that one is unpatriotic for disagreeing with the corrupt leadership (ie the 2nd Iraq War)
It suggests a lack of love for one’s country in those seeking positive change
It is quite blind at times

    I love America.
But there are things that can be better and mistakes that have been made in the past.

The West's education system gradually convinces many young people to end up loathing and being ashamed of their parents/grandparents society and country. We radicalize the young and we pay people to do it for us.

We're those men "socialists" or weren't they? He said some stupid shit and deserved to be called out on it. To imply you're disgusted by me using the correct term is absolutely retarded. That poster was answered with the same energy he came at me with.

This is why China is taking over the planet as the lone superpower. A #BLM rally over there will give them an excuse to harvest more organs.

You're taught that everyone's colonizing roots at some point were a stain on human rights, it's just a mark of improvement through history that the barometers are set higher than pillaging -- and criticize it, reflecting back.

Recognizing crimes through history shouldn't make you a flaming asshole either, unless you're waging war out on the streets on behalf of it and looking a bit pillagey yourself

My Lebanese neighbor, Mo, flies the Canadian flag and volunteers for various charities. While not devout, he's a Muslim and observes Ramadan but is adamant that we need to stay secular and is a free speech absolutist. He's not alone in his sentiments.

so being proud of ones country is stupid and dangerous?

what kind of commie classes have been brainwashed by?

you and your mindset are what's dangerous.

i bet you own nothing and have never worked a day in your life either. a very strong entitlement complex.

thankfully the generation behind yours isn't as feeble and lazy.

There's more "historical discussion" in his first post itt than you've contributed in all of your posts on this forum combined.

Granted those don't amount to very much either.

Yes, nationalism and pride is stupid.

You can't be proud of something you didn't EARN. Being lucky enough to be born here makes you no better than anyone else. You could've easily been born anywhere else.

I own my home and have a martial businesses.

If you were born somewhere else then you'd just be proud of that other place.

No, you should be proud on things YOU accomplished or have earned yourself.

People who have pride in things they no nothing about or earned themselves is pretty sad to be honest.
