I think everyone knew that he has an amazing chin, but this...
 
He's just tough like a boy that size should be.

It's the type of thing you can't teach. Plenty of heavies would've went down in that fight. Roy absorbs like a tampon.

He got a bruise, so what? If you've ever been in a fight, you know that bruises don't hurt. Had the kick been to the liver, it would be different. This is pretty much a case of superficial damage.

He won't be getting released for that, I tell ya.

He also broke his right hand in round one, and then dropped Overeem with his left in round 3.

Dudes a straight up warrior. He went up to Joe Silva right after the fight saying he wants another fight ASAP.

He's one tough mf'er that's for sure.

How about you take just one kick to the body from Overeem and tell us how you feel after? Actually, fuck it, take 10-20 as Nelson did, and you'd be in the hospital with cracked ribs.

Nelson is as tough as they come... Overeem, Dos Santos, Werdum, Mir.. he took all their punches, knees and kicks and kept coming for more.
 
Nelson is tough and the blubber helps alot,but also he is probably gonna feel alot worse,after the fight is over. adrenaline takes care of alot of the pain
 
There is a reason ancient gladiators looked like Nelson does. The fat protects the body from real damage.

Definitely a guy who has never taken shots to the body lol

Anyone who has gotten their ribs/midsection feels it way more for the following days than damage they took to the head

I have seen people be in really bad pain just to move from shots to the ribs the next day

i got bruised ribs and i was in pain for 3 fuckin weeks. at the time it knocked the wind out of me,but i recovered and i was OK but it was much worse later

I didn't say he isn't tough. I just said that bruises happen, and they don't necessarily hurt.
