Is Mike Dolce building up his name by conning Sherdoggers with his shills?

Dolce's success is a testament to the extreme ignorance fighters have in regards to nutrition/dieting. I saw his book which was a joke. These fighters can grab any ripped, formerly fat guy and get the same results.

I discarded him and his ideas when I heard him say he doesn't count calories, at all.

You are 100% correct. Additionally, there are sooooo many specialists who have spent time at the US Olympic training center. There is simply no reason for these fighters not to be working with MDs and PhDs who have worked with the ultra-elite of American athletes. This also explains why MMA athletes get hurt so much - the sports medicine of MMA training is in its infancy.

Chael looked BIG in a recent pic. Ripped is open to interpretation. It's safe to say he didn't mean bodybuilder ripped. If Chael is 235+ with 10% BF then I say give Dolce a pass on this one.

I follow Dolce on twitter and I've read a ton about nutrition. The guy knows his shit for the most part. Nutritionists aren't scientists. They just put science into practice. He doesn't make up bullshit theories out of nowhere. He guides people along proven paths.

that isn't a lie... If you eat the right things you really don't need to count calories.

You think GSP looks or is noticeably bigger then Kos at weigh in?

I think his torso looks a lot wider, especially upper back

Unless you got your own diet program why should you care. You will live longer if stop worrying about petty crap like this. How dare a man hype up his own program. Fighters are losing weight without killing themselves, which is his main selling point. Everyone knows how to lose weight and be healthy. He is just providing his own product and fighters are enjoying it. No need to get a hissy fit. You are reading into things way too much. His main point is Chael is looking good at 240.

This isnt new news....Dolce has been saying chael was cutting from 230+ for years to make 185.....just google it the old articles will come up

This is a bit gay, but look at their asses. Kos keeps a lot of weight in the trunk. They're really similarly sized.

I noticed this on TUF 1, looked like he was wearing a diaper in all of his fights in the house lol.

I want to see a picture of chael on a scale holding a sign with today's date giving his opinion of the recent shooting to believe that he's 240 and ripped

There was a video on youtube of dolce making some chicken dish. He said that you need to buy the organic free range chicken for 6 dollars a pound because the 2 dollar a pound chicken will "literally kill you." I commented on how that was retarded bro science and he deleted my comment. Dude is a hack. He says all sorts of shit that literally makes no sense. I remember him on the joe rogan podcast saying something about drinking coffee or water right when you wake up to like prime your digestive system after sleeping. I don't even remember if that is what he said, but it was something really stupid like that.

It depends on your goals. If you are a guy that just goes to the gym and wants to stay healthy, you are right. If you an athlete competing at the top of your sport looking to maximize your strength and conditioning while still making weight, you really need to pay attention to calories.

dolce was pretty cool on the Rogan podcast. If fighters swear by him then who am I to question. I'm not going to run out and buy Dolces book but he wouldn't be doing what hes doing now without SOME knowledge and insight into that world.

^ thats my take too.

it seems everyone on sherdog is an expert in fighting, weight cutting, and dieting.

if dolce wasnt providing any benefit to the fighters he's helping, then they wouldnt continue to pay him for his services.

Everyone in the world isnt a diet/calorie/food expert....some fighters either dont have the time or just dont want to spend the energy learning/reading about it themselves.

and as far as the benefit of counting calories....it really depends on what you're eating.

If you're eating fruit, salad, chicken, tuna etc.....counting the calories probably wont provide much benefit......but if you're eat fries, whoppers, and drinking 64oz cokes...well counting calories is your friend.
