I believe this could be a match up to decide the next title fight. I think it´s premature for Garbrandt to have a shot at Cruz, but he´d prove me wrong if he could take care of Lineker. And in the meantime, Frankie could come down and face TJ for the the title shot after that.... I just feel that TJ needs another good win, and Frankie despite being the great warrior he is, He already had his chances for the gold, so it wouldn´t be the most fair thing to do, and then let Lineker or Garbrandt have a go at Dom, and the winner gets the winner of TJ and Edgar.... How do you guys see it?

    Me too.

I might even watch TUF if they coached. Might be entertaining with Bang and Alpha Male

I consider Mayday a better win than Almeida, and Lineker has looked sensational for a while now. I think he is sliiiiiiiiiiiiightly ahead of Garbrandt right now.

Maybe they should fight each other like the OP suggests - I reckon Garbrandt/Lineker is one of the best fights that can be made right now between surging talents.

And I think either Edgar or TJ would be just to much for Garbrandt, and it´s the best time to have Lineker vs Garbrandt because both are on a winning streak while Edgar just lost to Aldo e TJ lost to Cruz but has 1 win over Assuncao, so both TJ and Edgar could wait.

    Uh, OK.

Maybe because Mayday has had better wins more consistently across his career against better competition than Almeida? There's no need to stoop to insults if you believe differently - try arguing your point of view like a reasonable person if you want to pursuade people to view things your way.

Lineker took out McDonald in a brutal way. The guy is on a tear and his confidence is skyrocket.

i believe lineker and garbrandt both should fight for the title at the same time in a triple threat match with ken shamrock as a special guest referee.

I want to see then fight later. One of them should fight Cruz, the other should fight TJ.
Yes, I know neither of them is ahead of TJ. I'm just not a fan of rematches.

    Lineker would smash Cody.

I'd love to see Cody's heart sink to the floor when he realizes he can't put Lineker away or stop him from moving forward. Lineker would rip that body up and eventually take his fucking head off.

Cody has TONS of hype right now, people acting like he's the second coming of Christ, one of the most overrated fighters I've ever seen on here. He's definitely good, but still has so much left to prove - the sad thing is, if/when Cody loses, TONS of people are going to turn their back on him and basically shit all over him just like they do with almost every fighter in the sport.

They act like they're a HUGE fan of somebody, but once they lose, they suddenly aren't a fan anymore and shit like that. I don't get how people can be like that, either you like a fighter or you don't - it's as if they follow a hyped up fighter with the crowd so they can fit in, but once they lose, they shit on them just like everybody else does because it's the new 'thing,' the trend, whatever you want to call it.

    MMA fans.. so bad..

    Cruz vs Garbrandt
    Dillashaw vs Dodson II
    Edgar vs Caraway
    Lineker vs Faber/Rivera

    Or

    Cruz vs Caraway
    Dillashaw vs Dodson II
    Garbrandt vs Lineker

Bantamweight is stacked right now. Sterling and Almeida can work their way back into the title picture in the meantime.

Yeah he deserves it more, Cody is still very raw and has never fought a top 5 opponent. both would get dominated by Cruz anyway.

Lineker looked great against McDonald but thats still only one top ten win at 135. Cody only has one top ten win too.

I don't really think that its those guys' faults though... for some reason it really seems like fights between top ten guys at 135 are really few and far between. Big part of it is probably because top guys like Cruz, Assunscao, and Caraway rarely fight. You know you could say the same thing about a lot of them but those guys probably fight the least.

Even TJ has only ever beaten two top ten guys at 135.
