Is Khabib the scariest fighter to go against now?

Seems like someone really has to be mentally tough just to withstand Khabib's takedowns, let alone his GnP.

It would be scary being in there against Khabib who is putting 100% pressure and coming forward non-stop along with knowing the threat of his takedowns. Its a hard thing to defend against.

He is easily now the most difficult fighter to beat and probably the scariest to face.

Khabib tortures people in there.

Getting KO'd is scary in another way though.

What do you mean "now" ? Khabib's always been scary...

I agree. Not many people will call him the scariest because thats usually reserved for brutal ko artist like Ngannou and Rumble but career wise he's the absolute scariest by far. This man WILL give you an L on your record.

Sure but there's always a 50/50 chance you'll get a reprieve.

When he actually makes it to the cage, he is one of the most dominating fighters alive,

The pressure he puts on opponents is really something to behold.

Nah Dana White says Ngannou is scariest. He hits as hard as a F150 colliding against a wall at 250MPH. He says being hit by Ngannou is as painful as getting your balls stuck in a bear trap or having bamboo spikes driven underneath your fingernails. Taking a punch from Ngannou is worse than leprosy and ass cancer combined.

Edson took a 5 rounds worth of damage in a single round. Poor bastard. Hope he comes back better from this.

There is no doubt Khabib is a scary fight for a lot of fighters but I honestly think Mcgregor KO’s him. Conor is to precise and slick on his feet . Even though Khabib dominated Barboza there were a few exchanges in the fight and it just takes one exchange for Conor to rattle Khabibs brain and put him away .

Khabib runs forward closing the distance with no head movement and his stand up is terrible . Barboza would be a tougher fight for Conor than Khabib.

Now because he has not been knocking anybody unconscious or breaking any bones, those type are scary. A black eye and maybe a bloody nose is all you get from Khabib, not a big deal.

It doesn't matter how mentally tough someone is, that won't stop khabib's takedowns or gnp.

I think, psychologically, the beatdown Nurmagomedov puts on fighters has to be tough to get over. If you get knocked out, even by a monster like Ngannou, you can tell yourself you just got caught. If you get mauled for 15 minutes and can't do a damned thing to stop it, there's no telling yourself you'd do better if you fight that guy again.

Definitely one of the scariest, yeah. I was somewhat of a Kebab doubter before, but the sheer ease at which he crushed Barboza (and MJ to some extent) is pretty fucking scary, yeah.

Not just the ease, but the brutality. It was like watching someone give their little brother a long, torturous beating. One of the reasons it's brutal is the opponents look so utterly helpless. Barboza's expression said it all. Kebab just pins people down and beats the fight of them.

That first round was one of the most intense rounds I’ve ever seen. Just something about it. When it was over, I felt like I was relieved to make it out alive. And it was all over Barboza face too, his expression was one of disbelief.

It reminded me of the Cain vs JDS 2 & 3 fights. Just a one sided, high intensity assault.

Pretty much. The look on his face when he realized he'd just gotten the tar beaten out of him in about three minutes of top control was in complete shock, like whatever confidence he had that this guy wasn't all that and he could sleep him and he wouldn't go out like MJ went the fuck out the window.

It was the same look on BJ's face when Jon Fitch gave him the beating of a lifetime in five short minutes. If that had been a five round fight he wouldn't have answered the bell.
