I'm so hyped for 214. I truly believe this is a perfect rivalry, barring the age difference. These two are the top 5 pound for pound fighters, have only 1 legit loss between them, tough, skilled with just the right amount of hate between them. There are so many questions regarding their match, DC's weight cutting, post USADA Jones, DC's age, the new rules.
Do you guys think Jones vs DC, when all is said and done, will be the greatest rivalry in MMA? This is up there with Tito vs Chuck, Silva vs Jackson but imo, if DC wins and has a rubber match with Jones, this will be the best.

not really a rivalry since cormier didnt really have much for jones, it wasnt a back and forth fight, jones whooped him and made him cry

then DC kept his belt warm while jones was gone

A few take downs doesn't mean he whooped him.

If DC manages to win this time, it will be 100%. Last time it was a fairly clear cut 49-46 that wasn't that close.

How about Chuck and Couture. Arlovski and Mir. Hughes and GSP. Shamrock and Tito (lol) Lawler and Macdonald. Wand and Hendo. Id say Jones/Cormier is #3 behind Hughes/ GSP and Wand/Rampage

    outstruck and outwrestled

clear cut 49-46 when jones took a round off

did anyone watch that fight and then think that it was a fluke?

I wouldn't say it's a perfect rivalry considering DC didn't have much for Jones the first time they fought (which i was hoping he would). Unless Jones has declined from being out for so long, then the second fight will probably go the same way. Enemies, sure. Rivals, no.

A pretty good rivalry. DC is just so unlikeable now that even the Biggest Jones haters have turned on him. It is however not a perfect rivalry since the first fight was pretty onesided, and it is hard to see how DC can win a rematch.

I don't recall the first fight being very close. It was competitive but Jones clearly won. The rematch will tell the tale as to how great this rivalry truly is. The fact that the victor in the previous match up pissed hot and hid from USADA before the rematch leads me to believe the 2nd fight is going to be much closer this time around

Its not a rivalry until both guys have won.

Right now its about the same level rivalry as a hammer and a nail.
