He's 32 but he's now fighting in the cage for a living for 12 years old. Is he still in his prime ?

His prime is when he's roided to the gills. The guy's a fraud.

You don't have to be in your prime to keep winning fights. Jon Jones is a special talent and genetic breed. Why do you think guys his age and younger are struggling to beat him?

I feel like all fighters are roiding, yet because of the whole anti-doping thing it is a real MAJOR stain on Jones.

Definitely looks like he’s lost a step over his last few performances. You can only fight at the highest level for so long. Happens to everyone.

This is him in his absolute prime. No old washed up pride legends to beat uo and the world is looking at his green light to juice. Now that hasn't helped him the Ufc has begged the judges once again to gift him an obvious loss with a UD! lol but at least now even the dopiest of cunts realise whats been happening. Heads wont roll just like boxing but now everyone knows he was never the goat or even a dominate fighter after popping.

He is weird. For example, against OSP he looked average. But then one fight later, he looked better than he has ever been against DC. It might be that he is not motivated, or it might be that he is getting old(out of prime), or it might be PEDs, or it might be that a tall boxer with solid takedown defense is Jon's weakness, or it might be that MMA is evolving.

Comparing Jones' last 3-4 fights' performances to his performances around the time he was fighting prime DC, he's far from being as good as he was years ago. His striking, grappling, speed and cardio have all noticebly declined. Barely even seeing the fight IQ he's been known for anymore. He has over a decade of mileage. Mileage isn't just fight mileage, it's also the constant training, sparring, and drug use. Fedor had his first legit loss around the age that Jones is now.

Prime Jones would've finished this Jones inside of three rounds, maybe even first round.

Im guessing you mean shogun and rampage by washed up legends?

They were washed up? How? When he beat them they were younger and had less mileage than he does/is now

Wait do you associate age with mileage? Hmmmm I always thought it was the amount of wars and fights over a period of time. Dont look at Yoel and DC then.....

They both matter and neither are necessarily on Jones side.

A ton of five round fights and being the wrong side of 30 with a crazy lifestyle will catch you up.

Yoel and dc would have had better mma careers if l they had started even just 5 years earlier

Been on the slide for his past few fights now. You could say he’s just being strategic but I think there’s a pretty clear physical decline. He’s been at the top for a decade and of course there is the whole PEDs issue. As you start to decline you start to lose rounds against guys you would have dusted earlier in your career. The fights get closer and closer because you are not physically the fighter you were and your opponents have had years to study you. Eventually you lose a decision or get knocked out and then you start to alternate wins and losses. It’s just a case of waiting for the right guy to come along. Reyes could be considered that guy, but he’s still quite green despite being victorious tonight.

Agree with that. I would like to know if he has ever fought 100% clean though. Because today he looked very average compared to dominate Goats like Silva, DJ, Aldo, Gsp and the goatiest Fedor. He looked very average and Dom looked better. He did come back in the last 2 rounds but wasn't landing big shots. He was peppering a tired Reyes. Pathetic display and even worse decision.

    Yep.
Its almost like asterisk on top of asterisk when looking at his career as a whole

I think Jones is as good as he’s ever been, physically. He has the stamina, durability, and IQ. I’ve been saying the last 3 fights and maintain the same stance now. Jones is tired of fighting. He looks completely checked out. It’s like he needs to get hit just to wake up and feel something. These guys are throwing everything and the kitchen sink at Jones and he barely reacts. They can’t finish him or hurt him despite Jones having barely any output. Once he becomes offensive it’s the Jones we knew. He’s still crafty and technical. He lands at will. I feel Jones just doesn’t want to be there.
