Is Jeremy Stephens one of the most overrated guys in the UFC?

Damn.. I know Choi is green still.. but I feel Stephens get too much love.

Dont get me wrong.. the guy has been around forever but he is nothing special.

He is 3-5 in his last 8 and only beat a completely shot Melendez and an even more shot and outsized Renan Barao. Before that is was a flukey knee against Bermudez (his best win so far) in a fight he was 2 rounds down.

He has lost to every single top opponent he has faced and still some people talk about him like if he is some kind of contender or something.

Jeremy talks like he is some kind of beast but he has zero signature wins (fuck off with RDA, that was 10 years ago and RDA was just a BJJ guy).

I'd say he is rated just about as he should be.

I've never heard anyone saying he is GOAT material. Most refer to him as a dangerous journeyman.

He has a hell of a resume, competition-wise. Been around for a long time and faced a lot of good fighters.

Likely will never be champ, but he's a fun scrapper who always comes to bang, and is always looking to finish the fight.

I dont know man Stephens hits hard as hell but this Choi guy has some freakish power for his size he lookes weak but cracks hard very strange power.

Not really, you rarely see people hyping Stephens up or something like that. They mostly talk about his power, which while he posseses, he has a hard time putting away people with it consistently due to him usually being a one trick pony.
