Is JBG overrated on Sherdog?

A guy like Mike Perry used to be popular on here. Should a guy that brings his girlfriend in to corner him matter that much? I would say JGF is better for this sport. JGF is just great fighter. Those are the fighters that are the best, try to be the best and fight the best. The importance of striving to be champion is of utmost importance. Give me Chuck, Tito, Randy, BJ, Khabib, Jon Jones, Cormier, Yan, Aljo, Sandhagen and all the rest. You guys can have your Mike Perry.

Mike Perry was something because he was a 9-0 fighter with 8 (t)KOs.

Not because he had his girlfriend with him.
 
Perry is good and his approach doesn't appeal to you, that's fine. I didn't mind it. However, he wasn't particularly successful during his time in the Octagon.

I would consider Michael Chandler a more rounded out version of a JBG. Chandler represents that title in a much more successful way.

He's trying to become a 'combo' type later in his career. His career is almost over. During the body of his career he was JGF. He fought the best in his organization and was a champion.

Mike Perry gave Luque all he could handle... The guy was crazy and undiciplined, but showed that with coaching he could improve and hang near the top 15....

If you want a UFC populated by only TOP ELITE fighters,,, Get ready for two or three events per year total.

I like brawlers... Chris Leiben's and Robby Lawlers, and Perry's, and Shane Carwin's... They add flavor and put Elite fighters at risk because they can fucking Bang...

I like the rockem sockem stuff as well but as an appetizer or aperitif, not as the main course. Robbie was both, he won the title. We can't have only top, elite fighters but they are the 'meat and potatoes' of this whole thing.
