I hated it when I saw it in the theater, but having watched it again twice in the last six years, I have to say it is tight from start to finish. Good writing, great acting, really strong story. Also probably Samuel L's best performance.

Thoughts?

It's definitely a good ass movie. Perhaps a bit forgotten because it's more Elmore Leonard's voice than his I guess.

I'd rate it as one of his best.

Way better than anything he's done post Kill Bill.

Julius was a better character and the film was ok. Haven't watched it in many years but just now might

best is Django. fucking love that movie.

Without question.

Behind Inglorious, it's second best in replay value for me out of all his films.

It is definitely underrated. It probably is the most underrated. I can’t think of a better movie of his that people talk about less.

I crack up every time I see Deniro kill Fonda.

Quentin Tarantino is overrated AF but Jackie Brown is some of his best work.

I would say actually Hateful Eight is his most underrated film, I think a strong argument that its his best work since the 90's yet hasn't really earny as much praise as Django and Basterds.
