I think so. It is something I once opposed but there is literally no other way to properly bring law enforcement and policing in general under control. We need a system in which the police answer to the people, are for the people and the laws are universal across the country as is the justice system. No more should small town cops or corrupt cops be able to hide from the full authority of the justice system.

Unconstitutional as fuck. Do you even states rights, bro?

LMAO! Here comes the New World Order and the U.N Police Force....hahaah

Spidy pushin that NWO Agenda.

Can't you make universal reforms for federal law without taking over the entire department? With different laws in different state, I think that doesnt make much sense.

It would be good to have a central force. We do have 20+ security forces. I don't see any discipline at all by any. :icon_chee

oh boy the shillin is gonna be good in this dandy...what time you boys clocking out for your lunch breaks?

When I think of law enforcement accountability I immediately think FBI.

States rights do NOT take precedence over federal powers.

Get out of here with your absurd conspiracy theories. Take off your tin foil hat and smell the coffee NOT everything is a conspiracy bro! Also if anything a UN police force would be better for the planet what makes you think you know more about law enforcement than the specialist who are trained in the fields of law and enforcement?

Exactly what I mean. The FBI is a perfect example of an efficient law enforcement agency. Common police mishaps that are increasingly common (such as unarmed murders) by cops prove how out of wack our system is. We need a federal police system that supersedes local police.

The FBI, Marshalls, Secret Service, ATF, DEA, ICE are all police on a Federal level.

But I think you are talking about policing the police, which there is. Every Federal agency has an Office of the Inspector General. The OIG has law enforcement power and usually audits and investigates Police agencies like the FBI.

On the State and municipal level, there is internal affairs.

I realize that. I am advocating the abolition of the municipal level of police and the creation of a new Federal Police system. I think we should have people under direct control of the FBI and DHS. We should recruit and only train those who fit the code and pass the necessary tests set by the Feds.

I really don't think you will be able to afford much less attract the level of candidates the FBI gets, to station them in podunk nowhereville to write people speeding tickets.

The police do need to be reigned in but this isn't the way to do it. The way to do it is for private citizens to become more and more educated about their rights and record as many interactions with police as possible.

It would also be nice if the police departments themselves made an effort to reign in their officers.

Lol. A federal police police would be a fucking mess. When I think of slow, bureaucratic, wasteful, and down right deceitful I think federal government.

The problem is that we tend to ignore State and local politics. State and local politics probably affects our daily lives more than federal. Keep tabs on the local politicians that have control over local police. Then we will see a change. Do you even know who represents you in your city council or state senate?

If you are going to properly troll, you cannot use terms like always and never is exposes your attempt.

Typo. Yes lies do happen but id say in general the FBI has done a better job than local police do. My point still stands id prefer to see a system in which police are trained by those at the federal level and supervised. Policing in America has gotten out of control! Every single day some rogue cop who wouldn't pass federal standards guns down people.

I think half of the FBI would shit themselves if they had patrol Skid row in LA on foot.
