It depends how you define exciting.
I feel that that is often translated to stand and bang just bleed.

While I thoroughly enjoy those types of fights, I also find the chess match exciting. I loved watching masvidal get broken to the point of faking a groin injury. I love khabib emasculating his opponents by grappling them to a point of defenselessness.
