Is it pretty much an accepted fact that UFC's 2014 MW division was the most stacked in MMA history?

I challenge anyone to think of a division in MMA history that was more stacked than UFC's 2014 MW division. I've tried and I just can't think of any that come close, let alone surpass this absolute sharks tank.

That's not the UFC division because Khalidov never fought for the UFC but yeah it was up there.

It's up there. But my pick is the current bantamweight division:

1. Sean O'Malley
2. Aljamain Sterling
3. Merab Dvalishvili
4. Henry Cejudo
5. Cory Sandhagen
6. Petr Yan
7. Chito Vera
8. Song Yadong
9. Rob Font
10. Dominick Cruz
11. Pedro Munhoz
12. Umar Nurmagomedov
13. Ricky Simon
14. Jonathan Martinez
15. Adrian Yanez

When the only "weak link" is the former bantamweight GOAT, you've got a hell of a division.

2016 MW division was better, I believe.

Rockhold
Weidman
Romero
Belfort
Jacare
Souza
Bisping
Machida
Whittaker
Hall
Hendo
Brunson
Khalidov
Anderson

But either way, after Android's reign, there was a time when that MW division stacked as well as any in the history of MMA, just not sure which year to be exact.

Worldwide BW right now is as stacked as any division in history.

If you add Stots, Sabatello, Magomed, Pettis, Mix, to that, then yes, it probably is, and you can even add Horiguchi too.

They just lack the star names like when LHW, WW, MW, LW division were at their peak force.

Yeah that 2016 era was next level. Crazy that Bisping was the champ lol.

If you count One, Mighty Mouse is fighting at 135 too.

Gotdamn. That is crazy. Guys like Yanez, Umar, Munhoz outside the top 10. Probably most talented division for sure.

8 of the top 10 Light heavyweights in the UFC in 2009 were former current or future UFC champions.

That's got to trump every other division in history.

The 2 that weren't champions were Wanderlei Silva and Thiago Silva.

ONE's not really relevant in world scenes really.

But MM and Moraes are good fighters.

All I know is that MM is as good if not better than Cejudo and Cejudo is number 4 in the UFC. I do think MM gives a lot of ranked bantamweights trouble. We'll also see how Figueiredo does at BW.

Yup, 2014-16 MW and current BW get my votes.
