Is it possible to make deals with demons? (Serious Discussion)

We've all seen movies and shows where a character literally comes to an agreement with Satan. In exchange for his soul or whatever, Satan gives him riches and fame. Why is this concept so prevalent in movies and shows? And further, why do so many artists talk about selling their soul for fame and power? Are they speaking metaphorically? Or did they actually make an agreement with some demon?

Even logically if you can make a deal with God then by default you must be able to make a deal with the devil. Satan would simply accuse and say..."It's not fair if mankind can deal with you but not me."

God even says in the Bible not to practice witchcraft. God, being perfect, would not tell his people not to do something if it wasn't a reality.

Other note. Huge difference between being possessed and controlling said demons and simply being possessed.
