Is it possible Nate just took Conor's soul and his desire to fight?

I mean, we were told the rematch was happening because Conor was "obsessed" with it. Then he pulls out, either because he doesnt want to go to press conferences or because he wanted more money than the agreed amount.

Not really that obsessed then.

And he has apparently retired.

Seems like, having been slapped down and then tapping out in round 2, Conor's fire may be out?

Is it possible he's really thinking "that guy whipped Full Camp Me on only 11 days notice, maybe this isnt for me anymore? What would he do to me on a full camp?! I have no groundgame and hate having to tap out and I've already made enough cash?"

I doubt it dude. He's in Iceland, meditating on a glacier, tapping into the spirits of the ancestral Viking warriors.

I don't get why nobody else can figure this out.

Damn straight it's possible. I doubt it though.

McG is WAY too addicted to money, status, and luxuries that only wealth can afford him. He will never come anywhere NEAR making the type of money he is right now, anywhere else.

So no, no matter how much he postures, he will be fighting again.

What does it matter? Nate's fans will always claim that he did.

Yes yes, in an igloo telephone booth calling Dana, SHOW ME THE MONEY!

I think that's a comfortable idea for a lazy do-nothing forum dweller.

I would assume to gain his talents he's gone through a lot of tough times.

I really don't think he did. But it is possible. I give Conor more credit than that though. Rattled is one thing scared is another. And I think Holly took Ronda's soul. At least as far as fighting her again.

I think some of it has to do with the fact that Conor's a bit of a bully. He acts tough when he's on top, but as soon as things sway the wrong way he turns his tail and runs.

If there was a top 5 list of possibilities I would rank this one as number 5.

If that were the case this wouldn't be happening now, it would've happened shortly after the Nate fight, before this rematch was even a thing.

If Conor retiring is specifically related to this fight the timing indicates something went wrong in negotiations. Conor not liking his pay or press obligations both seem possible.

I highly doubt that. Imo, if he had any chance against Nate, he needs all the training he can get in. All the flying and press takes a huge toll. Especially, how he promotes himself. Just my 2 cents.

The world tour was supposed to stop in Stockton, Vegas, and New York. Conor can't talk shit this time around and he knows his brand will be ruined in a presser.

The big reason is Stockton. He can't talk shit here and he will have a mob of thousands ready to wreck him if he makes 1 wrong move. Conor without his mouth is just a left hand. Also, he may be getting off the powder. Who knows?

At first i thought Conor did not want to hear what Nate had to say this time.

Dana talked, so we have more information now.

Dana and the UFC pulled Conor because he refused to do a mini tour starting this week, which meant, he would have to break away from hes training and travel around America to promote this fight.

Dana said Conor management wanted to do this in May and the UFC refused. Conor therefore is willing to have a presser but not until for a few weeks more.

I suppose that's as possible as any other explanation offered up.
