do people ever do this? i always kinda spent by the end and i was wondering if it would give me more energy to last longer during rolling.

I personally developed a dependency on it after a while, it will make you train harder though.

really? yeah i read stuff about people supossedly becoming "addicted" to it or something. what happend when you went off it?

how about you try it out and report back to us, bro

I have tried it before. Honestly, the first 10-20 minutes, its good. But after that i feel a little tired (mostly because the stim high has left)

I don't reccomend it pre-BJJ or pre-Boxing.

Itsa good supplement for pumps (which is horrid for MMA) and weight lifting (where your not going going going going like in MMA. Weightlifting is relaxed but intense.

If your BJJ class is RELAXED. But i mean relaxed, it could be a decent supplement. You could try it. But once you start trying to exert a ton of force and pressure, you will feel like shit.

REMEMBER: this is all from my experience.

the best thing i got out of jack3d was that it woke me up and made me feel like working out.

But other then that I can live without it.

Unfortunately, these uppers have different effects on different people. One of those questions not best answered by any old forum joe.

I, personally, stay away from Jack3d. I use Amino Energy from Optimum Nutrition.

But, I mean, addiction isn't the worst thing. Most people in the world are addicted to Coffee & Tea. aka Caffeine. I'd rathe be addicted to that then to the garbage in Jack3d thoguh. Amino Energy is primarily greentea extract. I drink varying amounts before various exercises.

Sorry but your post kinda makes no sense. You are very vauge. Are you saying that's it's good for short/intense exercise such as weightlting and bad for endurance workouts? I can understand where you come from with the stimulant crash though.

My personal expericne: It's not bad. I've only used it for weightlifting (when I was still working at GNC and had a nice discount). It's helped a lot of people with energy but for some it made them crash. So you will never know how it effects you until you try it. But even if it works great for you, is it worth the money when you can go cheaper routes with coffee and B12?

Everyone has their own experiences. Like i said. for the first 20 minutes i feel buzzed out and like im on crack (srs). Then after the crack feeling wears off, it makes me feel kinda sloppy.

Also, after about 1 hour, i feel angry. Like im raging. Its strong shit.

Have you ever used it? If not, gtfo.

I once won an entire case(I think about 12 tubs) of Jack3d from a USP labs thread contest on AM's forum and I tried it a few times but didn't like how I felt(see below). In fact what few of them that didn't turn to gelatinous rocks(which I trashed) I gave away.

I have similar experiences(like Bleed) on it and other stim supps like it. I also note that some stims blast me so much I get weaker...

MHO on Jack3d and this new breed of "concentrated" pre workout powders is they are crap with approx. 1 gram each of creatine and arginine akg per scoop with most people unable to handle 2 scoops... Why not just market a stim or energy powder or put a real dose of creatine etc?

If you perform better all stimmed out then strong energy supps like this will be great but if not you may want to look into milder stims or a non stim preworkout supp with creatine, aminos, beta alanine, maybe some carnitine or whatever.

Extended rant: and they say concentrated but unless they have a novel delivery system for the concetrated ingredients then it really isn't concentrated - they are just underdosed with a lot of stims to make em 'feel' SUPER CONCENTRATED lol.

If I wanted a super stim I would get some ephedrine, redline, or other - but usually coffee gives me the best benefits to negs ratio.

can you suggest a non stim pre workout supp with creatine, aminos and all that? or should i just be taking b12 before i work out?

I took black powder before sparring once, got kicked in the stomach, almost puked everywhere. I wouldn't recommend it.

I recently stopped taking Jack3d before my BJJ practices because I was having a hard time getting to bed. In my opinion, Jack3d is probably the most effective preworkout supp I've ever tried. I can almost guarantee that you'll feel better during practice.... I know I did. The biggest benefit that I got from Jack3d was the mental focus, rather than the physical stamina. It probably helps my physical stamina as well, but a lot of getting tired is part of the mental aspect, and Jack3d definitely helps with that. I used to use Jack3d before every practice when I was just getting back into training after a long break, but I knew that I would eventually stop using it once I got my grappling conditioning back. Now that I'm in good shape, I don't use it anymore unless I'm feeling totally beat. My advice to you would be to not use it regularly, and to not make a habit of it. You don't want to have to rely on using Jack3d just to get a decent workout/practice.

good answer. How many hours before bed were you taking it?

To be honest, i would give it a good 6 hours before bed if you want to fall asleep well.

One of my teammates used to use that stuff to stay awake at work. He ended up staying up the night before a tournament and decided to drink 3 jack3ds and a rockstar. He was so pumped he got onto the mat and ended picking up the guy and slamming him.

Be very careful with taking that stuff or any energy supplement for that matter. I personally was addicted to monster and rockstar. breaking that addiction was terrible.

I would take the Jack3d at around 7:45 PM. I'd typically go to bed at around 2 or 3. Now that I've stopped taking it tho, I find that I still have some insomnia (probably the result of training in the evening & body used to this schedule). But I'm still glad that I'm not relying on a stim to get me through workouts and it's good not to be wired at 2 in the morning..
