Is it ok to call into question the relationship between USADA and the UFC now?

I always thought there was a potential conflict of interest to have a company hire another company to do their steroid testing. Since company B relies on company's A money, if you want to keep that money coming in, you'd better be sure that certain fighters don't test positive.

If you haven't already heard Connor McGregor may have been doing coke. According to a witness who took his picture, he was sure he wouldn't get busted. He had no concern whatsoever he thought he was untouchable.

Here's the thread if you haven't seen it.

The UFC is scheduled to have over 2700 tests done per year.

The number of tests conducted in the six-month span may raise eyebrows as USADA CEO Travis Tygart stated that there would be a minimum of 2,750 tests conducted per year under the new program. 353 tests represent significantly less for a six-month period than the 1,375 tests needed to be on pace for Tygart’s guarantee.

That's a lot of money for USADA and if the ignored a positive test how would we know.

Connor has looked huge as of late, also, don't forget that the steroid police were up on Aldo's ass before the build up of the McGregor vs. Aldo fight. Plus the UFC knew Vitor pissed hot before the Jones vs. Vitor fight and never even told Jones.

I smell something fishy going on here.

I doubt the first 6 months count since the program was just getting rolled out. Lets talk Jan 2017

I wouldn't put it past the UFC. It's all smoke and mirrors.

no.... no it doesnt

Of course. The biggest hint should be that no big draw and/or nobody at the top is popping and UFC has a history with that.

Edit: silva, Lombard, and Romero were sacrificial lambs.

First of all, coke is only tested for in competition. So besides a few weeks leading up to a fight, he can do all the coke he wants and the only bust he needs to worry about is by the cops.

Second of all, have you ever done coke???

Saying "I won't get in trouble, I'm untouchable" is exactly the sort of thing you would say when you're on coke. Especially if you're a psycho narcissist to begin with.

Thomas Hauser outed the USADA some months ago for some of their "questionable" tactics. So yeah, whether it be in regards to McGregor or whomever, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if there were some shady dealings going on with them and the UFC.

The entire premise for this thread is also based on hearsay.

Weren't those supposed pictures from the TUF filming anyways?

i mean, i wouldnt doubt, but this mcgregor shit is really a stretch

and in the tale the guy told he was WASTED, so, theres not much credibility whatsoever

Coke is only detectable for 72 hours after taken. Its not tested for out of comp. He can do all this he wants.

Coke gets out the system in 3 days. The window to get caught is relatively small compared to other drugs.

Ignore the testing if you think it is corrupt. Can't really prove it is legit since there is no evidence it isn't. Commissions still do their testing.

Not really. You can hire companies to audit something without it being a conflict of interest.

If you are in manufacturing you need to be ISO certified. Your company has to hire the auditor to give the certification. Companies have failed their audit and the company they hired never gave the certification.

I had some issues with Hauser's articles regarding USADA. I'm not saying that USADA shouldn't be subject to serious scrutiny, just that I recall almost all of his sources had some affiliation with VADA and therefore had a vested interest in tearing down a competitor.
