He used to be great because his style kept getting rewarded by judges, which was the whole point.

Now for whatever reason, this same style is no longer judge-friendly, or at least doesn't guarantee a decision win by its mere implementation, and Jackson either hasn't realized this or adapted yet.

The next step if he doesn't is fighters leaving him since I can't imagine most of them adopting a style that makes them look like scaredy-cat sissies and losing decisions because of it.

And this makes me happy, because it means MMA really is evolving. In one sense, anyway. Fighters should actually have to DO something to win, as opposed to just trying not to lose.

He took Jones, who for all his personal flaws might be the single most physically talented MMA fighter to date, and turned him into a decisionator. That's like me taking over for Bill Belichick and turning the Patriots into a team that wins every game 13-10.
