And we are going to cover how Conor adjusted and countered this with hellacious body punching, but first off.
1. Nate resorted to trying to hulk through Conor with a high guard BECAUSE HE WAS GETTING COUNTER FUCKED SO BADLY
2. NATE COULD go into a high guard and attempt to "hulk through" Conor because he HAD THE SIZE AND CHIN to do so.
No other LW would have the qualities to do the same
Keep in mind Nate was STILL EATING hellacious counters from Conor in his "guard up hulk through" phases
Again Nate simply had the chin and size
Keep In mind NATE ONLY HAD success with this twice in a 25 min fight (at the end of the 2nd and the end of the 3rd)
And the only ever reason WHY Nate was even able to start this off the first time was because Conor tried a side kick and was pushed off balance
Conor in clinch sutuations either neutralizes, controls, gets off offence, elbows or circles off the cage and counters
Conor rarely ever even lets it get to that point with his slick footwork, lateral movement, and matrix counter sniping, but if/when it does get to that point then the Nate rematch proved how Conor is just as skilled and as slick there as he is any where else
As we mentioned, Nate was getting lit up so badly by Conor that he had to go guards up and attempt to hulk his way into range, rarely ever managing to succeed against Conor's far superior skill, footwork, countering, and IQ... it was just a desperste Nate trucking on and on...and even despite still eating counters again and again Nate had the chin and size to keep trucking on and on
So Conor made a brilliant adjustment to this
As soon as Conor made his scans and reads, and picked up on Nate's high guard "adjustments" (in Conor's matrix software rendering)
Conor started targeting Nate's body with hellacious body punching
Nate would go into a high guard and attempt to "tank" his way into range, meaning Nate's body was now exposed. Conor's supercomputer software scanned this instantly and rendered the correct solution instantly
Nate's hands up into a high guard, amd Conor sneaking in body punches to thei exposed body
Just look how Conor double fients the jab then shifts and sneaks in the right hook to the body - just places it so perfectly on exposed liver. Flawless boxing skill by Conor
Conor then steps out away from any possible offence - after the double jab fient to body right hook set up on a high guard Nate trying to hulk through
That was absolutely FULL CONTROL, SKILL, and nullifying by Conor
Another example
Look at that.
Conor shifts his weight to lead with a flawless right hook to the body, makes Nate MISS every follow up, then circles out (again absolute FULL CONTROL through out)
I mean thats defensive skill on a whole other level. Conor is the real Matrix
That is Conor INSANTLY nullifying Nate's hulk smash with body punching, and then avoding any return fire from Nate - always maintaining FULL control through outo
Another example
Conor pumps out a jab feint then left hooks and right hooks to the body
(Again Nate in a high guard then GETTING smashed by Conor's body punching to his exposed body)
Such perfect placement by Conor
Now pay attention to what happens after
After Conor jab feints to open up body punching combinations, Conor TIES Nate up and smoothers him. Conor has now KILLED off any possible offence from Nate
Conor will either tie up a persuing opponent to stiffle
OR Conor will punch into clinch and smoother - never allowing his opponents to do anything back
Just more examples of Conor FLAWLESS Bobby Fischer like fight IQ
You will notice the theme here is Conor ALWAYS controls no matter what position he is in. In that sense Conor is like Andre Ward too
After Conor ties Nate up and stiffled any possible return fire, Conor then breaks away on his terms. Conor then lands beautiful devestating punches on Nate on the breakaway
I mean, HOLY SNAPS
Conor's striking to grappling to striking to transitional skill/IQ IS also flawless.
Its those body punches from Conor which DRAINED Nate and allowed Conor to DOMINATE 90% of the championship rounds
Keep in mind that in a 25 min fight Nate ONLY had 2 moments of any real success (end of 2nd rd and end of 3rd rd)
Nate had to EAT A LOT OF SHOTS
And on the rare times Nate did manage to grab a hold of Conor IT WAS either a RARE occurance or because Conor let him/played rope a dope to gather back his energy etc
But even then, watch this
Conor dominating the clinch, manipulates and then break away into strikes on the breakaway
HOLY snaps..again Conor's grappling to striking transitional skill is also flawless
People wet themselves over Mighty Mouse because Rogan hypes him. Conor is far superior- more well-rounded skilled. Conor is far superior to MM. Conor is the real p4p#1
The Nate rematch proved that Conor is just as Flawless in-tight or in the clinch as he is everywhere else.
Conor is literally money from every range, every position, against any tactic Conor is literally the Floyd of MMA
It's a shame how newbs don't know what they are watching therefore cant appreciate Conor/what Conor is doing
Khabib is not going to have an easy time in the clinch if he truly thinks he can just "dominate" Conor...and thats assuming Khabib has what it takes to get past Conor's footwork, IQ and matrix counter fucking to even grab a hold of Conor...remember Nate had to EAT A TON OF SHOTS and take TONS of punishment. The Diaz brothers are zombies like NO ONE ELSE
