Is it a great thing that the next POTUS is on the opposite side?

Now will Gen Z'ers see it doesn't really matter to their life who the President is? That it really has very little impact on their day to day and that it's on them to get an education, get some skills that will make them into something a company might want to hire and make a decent life for themselves?

They won't be able to blame Trump for anything I mean it's kind of good right? Because the last 4 years so many people I know have stagnated, just to complain about Trump and blame him for everything wrong in the country and their lives.

Don't get me wrong I think Trump is a moron and was a horrible President but the way so many people just gave up on doing anything productive because "Hurr durr Trump" just wasn't good for anybody on any level.

Now he's gone,we can be productive again right?

Most millennials never learned.

They just double down.

The ironic part, is the only person you are hurting is yourself. These people will literally spend a life time being poor, and die a lonely death all while talking about evil Capitalism, we need Socialism etc.... and doing absolutely nothing to better themselves.

Meanwhile, some guy from Guatemala with nothing will jump over the border, grab a shovel, and 5 years later he owns a landscaping company, a home, sends his kids to college, and in just one generation they go from dirt poor to upper middle class.

Red pills will be delivered promptly.

Democrats are in charge, nothing changed.

I hated Trump and so did everyone I know. I never stagnated and neither did anyone I know. Never heard of this.

It'll make things more interesting. Especially from the progressive side of things, who are about to find out that Biden was never their friend.

That's what I'm looking forward to. The never happy "NOW! NOW! NOW! ME! ME! ME!" progressive crowd getting slapped back down to reality by the people they were stupid enough to support.

We were happy when Obama was president. We will be just as happy

I don’t know anyone blaming trump for personal misfortune in that way.

Biden just means that the death of a 1,000 cuts America is experiencing slows down a bit. It’s not a game changer. Similarity Biden won’t cure Covid/turn the economy around. He won’t make shit actively worse either.

hi Drain Bamage,

huh?

you really personally know people who let their lives just meander, because they spent the last 1300 days complaining about Donald Trump?

who are these (pardon the term) retards? could you cite their names or provide links or something?

Who Biden is will not surprise anyone. Nobody is about to find anything out.

This election had nothing to do with him and everything with getting Trump out of office, and people are going to be very happy with that.

There's going to be a big push to get Biden to do certain things and that's going to be the story of the next four years. There will be a lot of complaints from both sides. This also will surprise no-one.

We're in some magic world where everyone on the left got duped by Kamala and Joe, who they thought were one of them all along.

I mean......

Anyone who ties their lives to politics that strongly, unless theyre a politician, deserves to lose. For the past several years, Ive been continually stunned at how easy it is to manipulate the flock. Pay no mind.

It will surprise the radicals, and they will get mad. They'll be happy for about a day. Make no mistake. There is a civil war within the Democrat base and party brewing, and once they can't blame everything on Trump, it's going to get ugly.

That civil war has been in the making for a long time, and it was a miracle they could decide together to choose someone harmless enough to beat Trump.

That's all they needed to do, pick someone harmless.

If they had picked Bernie, Trump would have crushed him. He would have worked hard to do all the things the right doesn't want, that would have been his platform. He's campaigning hard to be Labor Secretary but I doubt there's any chance of that happening.

Biden isn't even pretending to be that guy, and nobody expects it of him. He made some concessions to Bernie leading into the election but without the house nothing will come of them.

I don't necessarily disagree with that, but now a lot of the base is in a "dog chasing car" scenario. They caught it. Now what?

Very little, I would imagine. Biden isn't exactly known for getting a lot done.

There's going to be a lot of noise from Democrats but very few results. Hopefully Biden is close enough to being Republican he can find some common ground and make some things happen that are good for the country without being partisan.

So we're going to pretend that those on the right never complain about government policy having a negative impact on their lives?? <45>

Anyone of even average intelligence on either side should be able to understand the dramatic impact policy has on their quality of life and should be engaged with the process to support those policies that have the most positive impact.

The "what happens in Washington doesn't affect me" crowd are complete imbeciles who should move to the woods and live off the grid so the rest of us can get on with the business of trying to advance human civilization.

Fuck it sure why not? The pendulum will swing even further to the right next go around.
