    Most would say Conor....let's compare.

Max (10 fight win streak, interim champ)

    Top 5 wins:

    Cub
    Lamas

    Top 10 wins:

    Oliveira
    Stephens
    Pettis

    Other notable wins:

    Cole Miller
    Corassani
    Collard
    Fili
    Chope
    Leonard Garcia
    Justin Lawrence

    Conor

    Top 5 wins:

    Aldo
    Mendes
    Poirier

    Other notable wins:

    Siver
    Brandao
    Holloway

Of course if Max beats Aldo he's definitely #2...

So Aldo would still be #1 despite taking L's to both #2 & #3?

Right now he probably has one of the 10 greatest win streaks in UFC history.

Only one's I can think of that were better are...
    - Anderson
    - Jon Jones
    - GSP
    - Mighty Mouse
    - Chris Weidman
    - JDS
    - Jose Aldo

Holloway is getting up there to be sure. I think his fight with Aldo will clarify things immensely.

edit: or maybe not. Suppose Holloway beats Aldo. It puts Aldo in a tough spot, because then he's lost to arguably the two toughest opponents he's ever faced, with his best wins being over guys who likely fill up the rest of the top five or six all time at FW: Edgar, Faber, and Mendes.

    1. Aldo
    2. Conor
    3. Hollaway
in that order. Aldo didn't lose for 10 years, how can you put Aldo anywhere but the FW GOAT after 7 or 8 title defenses and undefeated for 10 years?

If he beats Aldo I still have Jose at number 1. I will give McGregor credit that he is the 3rd greatest LW to fight at FW.

    Aldo's win streak includes
    Noguira
    Swanson
    Brown
    Faber
    Gamburyan
    Hominick
    Florian
    Mendes x2
    Edgar
    KZ
    Lamas

But sure Halloway 10 fight win streak against mostly sub par comp makes him better.

You can't put him above McGregor when he lost to McGregor, and McGregor also beat #1. It's not really arguable. If he beats Aldo by stoppage, then....maybe it's arguable

Not yet, even if he beats Aldo. Aldo did it for so long, and is still doing it. Holloway beating Aldo would be like Weidman beating Anderson, or Werdum beating Fedor. It will cement his legacy, but he won't surpass Aldo. I think it will put him top 5 for sure. I think the top 5 at that point would be some mix of Aldo, Conor, Holloway, Faber, and maybe Edgar. Maybe in that order actually.

Conor and Edgar are hard to rank here because it's hard to figure how much to weigh their accomplishments at LW. It's strange to think of ranking them below people at FW and above them in the P4P all time list.

Max didn't win against subpar comp. he beat 7,6,5,4,3 etc. bit harsh, even though I agree he is only number 3-4

Out of curiosity, what other two LWs do you think fought better at FW than McGregor? I'm guessing Edgar and ...

Unbeaten for ten years and destroyed a slew of top contenders? Yeah, he'd still be number 1. 'All time' is based off of accomplishment not current abilities. If that were the case, Tyron would be the best WW of all time, not GSP, and Hughes wouldn't be 2nd. Bisping the greatest middleweight, not Anderson, etc. etc. and on and on.

Beating Aldo is a big "If".

But IF he did, he'd be inching real close to the all-time great list with every successive bout.

Well the Woodley comparison would require GSP losing to Woodley in his prime.
