Is gameness any good?

I wore it once and didnt like it too much but maybe that was because it was someone else's gi.

I have an atama and I love it. Have you tried one Ron?

i have a gameness platinum weave and its my favorite gi over an atama double weave, dragao armlock, and a no name judo gi i started with. i like the soft fabric, thick collar, snug fit, and durability...the only thing i think could be improved is the cut (roomy under the armpits but nowhere else) - my dragao has the best cut of all my gi's.

Yeah, that along with the Krugans were all I wore until I found the above mentioned gis. Atama isn't a bad gi, all of us have owned on at one time or another.

I love my gameness and yes the patches are a little too loud for me. I have the older gold weave version.

I'm aslo thinking of taking my patches off. The gi istelf is awesome. You can tell that it's really well made. The fit is snug which I like, unlike my ATAMA. The price is reasonable unlike Koral.

So, the only embroidery is on the sleeves? I could handle that as long as I could take off the rest of those patches. How does the Platinum weave compare to, say, an MKimonos (Lutador) Hybrid weave? That's the other one I was looking at, but that gold embroidery on the back is killing me.

There are two embroideries, one on each sleeve. I have pictures of them on my site under the Gameness gis. THe patches are easy to remove.

The platinum weave is heavier then the LA hybrid weave but it will last forever. The plat weave is like no other, it just looks cool as hell.

agreed...I made mine into a bracie barra/ssf gi with patches from budo videos and Ron...much more personal and better
