Koch in German is Cook, I thought Germany only had Krause and Siver but this guy looked good, anybody know much about him?

Lots of Scandinavian and German immigrants in Wisconsin, so I imagine he has German blood.

He's from America, so I'm pretty sure he's American.

He probably has German ancestors... But he is American. Also, a lot of times American last names got changed at Elllis Island... For instance, my great grandfathers came from Ukrane and they changed our last name at Ellis island from Mashnakov to Marsh. Ppl think my ancestors came from England as "Marsh" is a common last name over there

I'm sure he is. Love him even more.

I've no idea why people would change a surname moving to a new country, ancestry/roots are important.

Often the employes misspelled names.Like imagine an english speaker trying to spell my name
( Haralampos) in the 1920's,with me not even knowing the english alphabet. So i would settle for Harry and be over with it.

Given his first and last name, it's safe to assume he has German ancestry.

Koch has been around awhile, and also did great in WEC. Was a very hot prospect when he first came to the UFC

Seen some folks on WW2 German propaganda posters who look like him.

Probably a few generations detached. Great to see him back in the win column. He went from highly rated prospect to borderline unknown in what seemed like a very short span of time, hopefully he can keep it going. Very talented fighter.

I hope Koch can remain healthy from here on out. He was supposed to fight Aldo for the belt way back when but each guy got hurt to scrap the fight on two different occasions, then he got beaten by Lamas and it's been up and down and injuries galore ever since. He's still young and he's got a ton of talent, so as long as his body holds up I think he can get even better as a fighter and make another run at the 145 lbs belt.
