I considered Edward one of the best LW's ever even before he fought Conor.

It is 100% cause of conor hate.
People cannot accept the fact that Conor beat a top 5 all time LW fairly easily. Hell that is arguably Eddie's best run in MMA ever. those Split dec were pretty BS in the Melendez/Pettis fights and nobody has EVER explained why the RDA fight was a fluke. Not to mention he murked an undefeated gatheje who is on a tear at LW ATM.

It's MMA shit happens, he's one of the biggest overachievers in the history of the sport. It's the truth, I have nothing against the guy.

Eddie was 2-1 in the UFC with TWO SPLIT DECISION VICTORIES, arguably the most charitable title opportunity in UFC history.

UFC top 3 isn't actually top 3 in the world, they don't rank the champions and they don't include any fighters not in their organization. So really Khabib was 4th in the UFC and Tony was 5th. They were behind Eddie in all rankings UFC or not when Eddie got his title shot.

Eddie Alverez is without question a top 5 all time LW and elite fighter. I am always shocked when people question his place at LW all time. He's been a top LW for the passed 10 years. Very accomplished fighter, UFC champ and Bellator champ among a few other titles. And the resume speaks for itself.....some great names. Look at this list..... Dos Anjos, Gaethje, Pettis, Melendez, Chandler, Freire, Aoki, Kawajiri, Hansen. And he beat all these guys at their very best and in their prime.
