FOTY IMO is a highly competitive back and forth war. This was just total domination. It's exhilarating because the outcome was so unexpected, but I wouldn't call it FOTY because Barao didn't do his share.

It was a good, solid fight, but that was mostly due to the shock performance by Dillashaw. In terms of raw action it's not the best.

came here to say it wasn't competitive enough to be FOTY but everyone else has said it and I agree. Look at previous FOTY winners, all competitive and exciting as heck (not that this fight wasn't exciting). So far this year it goes to Hendricks-Lawler, that was a competitive fight. But still have half a years worth of fights.

It's certainly a fight that shows MMA skill in a good light. Almost movie-like.
