DC was #2 at HW and has moved down to LHW and is now #2 there also. If DC was to start fighting at HW again there is no legit reason to rank him lower than he was when he left 2 fight ago. is he the only fighter who could legit claim top 3 in 2 divisions? pretty much every other elite fighter could not move down a class because they already cut weight and I cant think of any who could claim to top 3 in a heavier division.

the only other person who comes to mind is edger.

edit: Im talking about at the same time not a guy who was once top 3 and could he be top 3 in another division.

Aldo would. He'd arguably be number 1 in both divisions.

I think Cain JDS and Werdum would all beat Jones. He could barely handle Vitors guard. I'm convinced Werdum would win everywhere.

Machida could at MW.
Rashad could at MW.
Jose could at LW.
Barao could at FW.
Edgar could at LW.
Jones could at HW.

I think Jones would be top 3 at HW.

I think he would too but I cant realy give a fighter that ranking in a higher larger division without fighting there first. IMO it makes sense when moving down in weight but not up.

I still think JOnes would beat cain though.

Ronda would be 1 at FW if the division existed in the UFC.

No chance. He would BARELY break the top ten

I think Overeem is stylistically tougher than Werdum, who wouldn't be easy now with his improved stand-up.

Aldo and DC are the surest ones, but Barao would probably beat Mendes, Swanson, KZ and Poirier. TJ's a tough call, too early to say. Vitor could be a top 3 LHW (top 5 is more realistic), Machida was already one. MM wouldn't be, but he'd be around the top 5 if he'd return, as would Benavidez.

why the do people keep saying machida he would not be a top 2 LHW right now.

Based on who's rankings? I wouldn't be shocked by anything those idiot bloggers who do the UFC rankings came up with.

By my own personal bias I could squeeze Pettis into the FW top 3
