Is Dagestan wrestling overrated?

I don’t know too much about the wrestling stuff but Islam looked very ordinary today in that department. I’ve heard it said over the past few years especially with Khabib that Dagestan wrestling is the best and nobody can match it, yet volk was easily able to stifle it, and Australia apparently doesn’t have much wrestling.

Is it not as good as people have made it out to be, looked very ordinary

It is overrated by a certain kind of MMA fan and sometimes they even convince a few real MMA fans because what most people don't realise is anyone can do what the dagestanis do it's just most people focus on striking more than grappling or wrestling which leaves a massive blindspot that Russian fighters, with their wrestling backgrounds, are able to exploit. As the sport continues to evolve I expect dagestani wrestlers to fall further and further behind due to their poor athleticism and lack of striking background.
