Is "daddy issues" a real thing or bro science?

SO that's the question. Is this a real thing for women? cause i know some women who grew up without a father and they are just fine, normal people. also, i know psycho women who came from normal, nice families. so i personally saw no correlation. i have used the "daddy issue" argument in the past but it was just one of those mindless forum banter crap, i didn't really believe it.
is this just some incel talking point?

this comes from the prince harry/megan markle debacle, a lot of people seem to attack her for having "daddy issues".

 

Daddy leaves early or Daddy is over protective = More than average sexual partners and "I get along better with guys" attitude

 

I don't know, but I had a girlfriend that used to call me daddy and send me fathers day cards. Never had better sex.

 

funny cause one of the girls i know whose father was absent is one of the most religious girls i know. (she is a knockout and dresses very sexy though.....but has one stable partner and won't move in with that guy until they will get married.)
