What do you think? Yes, he had a close stand up fight with Mir, but he destroyed TRT Bigfoot, a thing that fedor couldn't.

I don't remember any of his HW fights being very close... But no, Reem is the best striker.

Do you count dirty boxing as "striking"? If so, then definitely better than most. If not, I'd say he'd have trouble with alot of the top Heavies in a pure striking match.
    JDS
    Cain
    Stipe
    Reem
    Hunt
    Brown

I think all beat him in pure striking (without clinch fighting)

Reem and JDS are the best heavyweight strikers PERIOD.

There's nobody at their level. Together they have embarrased every UFC heavyweight on the roster. Right behind them is Velasquez who is basically a bigger better Cormier. Below that it becomes muddled with Stipe/Hunt type fighters and you can add on a lot of other guys to this tier.

I don't know about that but I know he lost ALOT of power going to LH....he hit Anderson square on the chin early in their fight he ate it and laughed, a punch from pudgy Cormier would have folded him

I pretty much agree, but I still think stipe out boxed JDS, but I only saw the fight once live, thanks to this thread I've got to rewatch it

No way in hell did he outbox JDS. He does have great power but almost all his damage to JDS was through throwing a flurry of straight punches to get JDS to the cage and then hammering him there with elbows/punches + he was able to land great shots during transitions.

But JDS for sure was outboxing him

He's very fast at HW ... but be aware Fedor was past his prime fighting a BigFoot that was on TRT and weighed 50 pounds heavier ..... Cormier is much better as a HW then a LHW however.
