Dana screwed up by booking the rematch against Nate.

If Conor didn't show up to defend his belt against Edgar/Aldo than Dana could have just said he was scared to fight him like he did with a bunch of other fighters.

Not sure how he can spin this one and promote Aldo if he beats Edgar again considering he was just KO'd in 13 seconds by a guy that's retired.
“We’ll make Frankie Edgar and Jose Aldo for the interim title. Whoever wins that fight will then fight Conor McGregor for the true 145-pound title,” White said on SportsCenter on Wednesday night.

“Yes, he will. Win, lose, or draw in this fight against Nate Diaz, he will go in and he will fight either Jose or Frankie, whoever wins at UFC 200.”

Conor hasn't retired.

Even then people that "retire" come back all the time.

If you really think Conor McGregor will never compete in mma again, you're easily fooled.

Better than being the first champion on an active losing streak, I guess?

btw, this isnt directed at TS. Just people in general. Sorry if you felt singled out.

Bustamante also retired from the UFC with the belt.

Matt serra is retired and he never successfully defended his belt but I guess he ...defended it by fighting GSP just didn't do it successfully
