Is Conor scared to lose his FW belt or can he not even make the cut anymore?

This rematch might be dumber than Penn vs Edgar 3...

How is this not the biggest joke ever when there's a healthy champion with zero title defenses actively avoiding defending his belt?

Even RDA said in the past that it's a win/win for Conor even if he gets destroyed at LW because he still has the FW belt.

I figured the FW belt would get held up again so he could redo the RDA fight if he beat Nate but never thought it would get held up if he got dominated by him...
 
Conor knows Frankie would beat him. It's that simple.

Got to wait until old Frankie is past his prime first
 
I hope Nate KO's Conor this time. Or maybe we'll have to see Nate vs Conor III after that?

He is ducking because he knows Frankie would beat him....yet is fighting a guy that actually beat him instead?

I think the UFC is pushing for this rematch more then McGregor is.
Afraid of defending? I don't think he's afraid of losing to anyone really but his value will always be higher with a title. Not being able to make the cut is a possibility but very few people know how much of a struggle it really is for him. He looks like death at weigh in but he makes it. He did put on some mass and that could change things.
In my opinion I think they feel this is the biggest fight they can make aside from putting GSP against Lawler and this card is important to them.
I'd prefer to see him defend his title but come fight night I won't care to much who's fighting who.

Well, if he can't cut weight or doesn't want to lose his belt and moves up in weight temporarily to avoid those things, he is ducking them by definition.
 
Well, Conor's coach went on the MMA hour the Monday after Conor lost and said they wanted to give Aldo the rematch. He said Jose had accomplished a lot and had beaten Frankie so they were leaning towards the rematch.

Then earlier this week, Dana said that the fans really wanted to see Frankie get his shot at Conor. Dana also said this backstage right after 196.

Now today we get the rumor that Conor will be fighting Diaz again. Its not hard to put 2+2 together and see Conor wants no part of Edgar.

He's taking another non-title fight so he can hold onto the belt just a few months longer.

Dana doesn't want Conor to fight Aldo again and Conor wants none of Frankie.
 
Like Dana said, its hard to deny the man. He can do as he pleases.
 
Cut to featherweight takes 8 to 9 weeks. Conor should just give up hes belt. He beat four top featherweights Aldo, Piorer, Mendes Holloway. The cut to featherweight to just face one guy left Edgar?

Aldo took year out sometimes before defending hes belt. Conor fought Aldo only 4 months ago, its not as if its been a year.

Lol come on. You honestly think he's scared of Frankie? The guys that looked the FW GOAT dead in the eye and told them he'd kill him and take his belt is afraid of Frankie? Frankie is a tough fight no doubt but I highly doubt he is ducking him. I think he just really wants the Diaz fight back. He knows he has to defend the belt sooner or later. Why not get this big money rematch out of the way at UFC's biggest event?

It's obvious he's scared to lose the belt. Nate is probably the worst wrestler who appears on the LW ranking
