Is Conor destined to become another BJ Penn?

Penn defended his titles and is considered a Goat (deserving or not)

Conor is more along the lines of a male ronda rousey

Not really, Ronda actually defended her title several times.

I do find them very similar in many things, they both:

1. Show a ton of balls outside the cage, talking shit, willing to fight anyone

2. Lacks heart when the going gets tough, Penn going defensive / passive mode, Conor.... Taps

3. Both have 2 round cardios, a completely different fighter after

4. Surrounded by yes man who doesn't have the balls to be strict to them, both coaches always give empty advice in between rounds without any sense of urgency whatsoever

Both fight above their competitive weight class to attempt greatness
But have suffered losses from bigger men

Both considered ATG and unparalleled loyal fans

Bj hasn't won a fight in over 9 years

Will Conor suffer the same fate?

Only if he retires. There’s no way Conor is gonna be taking ridiculous fights and getting the shit beat out of him like BJ keeps doing. BJ must need the money, because he’s completely uncompetitive in there.

They are literally nothing alike.

Conor would kill himself to make Featherweight to gain a size advantage. With the size advantage, his striking was really effective. BJ barely cut weight to make LW, where he went basically undefeated, fighting top competition, for 8 years.

BJ was looked upon by other top fighters as an ATG from the time he basically started MMA. Conor has a great run, but it lasted a few years only. Then he became a circus act.

he would have to become champion again and actually defend his title
I don't see that happening honestly

Can you imagine Conor quiet, hustling for a pay check on the prelims? I can't.

Conor loves money, BJ loves fighting.

One didn't care about the size of his opponents, the other complained that a lightweight was three times his size.

One choked out an all-time great, the other offers his neck to get out of fights he's losing.

he never went to the hospital to make weight, he never missed weight; he is alive so he didn't kill himself

you are making shit up about killing himself

No, it's true. He was closer to death during his weight cut than he is without the weight cut. So he nearly killed himself making weight.

nothing about them are the same Penn was fighting ATG s at WW Conor fought Nate Diaz Penn defended his LW belt Conor fought a Boxer and should've retired. If Conor stayed at FW then went up and beat RDA then told the UFC to fuck off then went and fought from WW to HW then came back and fought Khabib then yeah maybe. As of now Conor had a good run at FW then became a circus act for the UFC and made bank nothing like Penn.

did he die? no

HAS HE GONE TO THE HOSPITAL FOR WEIGHT CUTTING

No
lol

thick skull

Do you have a link to their official weight the night of the fight?
Theres no official confirmation but Alvarez was up to 171 pounds 2 hours after his weight cut at ufc 211.

Its fair to assume he gets to about 180 atleast, day of the fight.
Josh Thompson, Khabib's teammate said hes 183 to 185 fight night.

Compared to Conor who is about 171 in the cage.

Yeah there is no confirmation on what either of them weighed on the night of the fight.

They will never be alike, BJ is likeable.
