I haven't done it, but just wondering what the rules are. Are there different rule sets for different commentators?

Thanks for help.

you prob shouldn't be bashing anyone. But remember not liking someone and bashing them are different things. If you don't like Goldie and say it thats fine, calling him a (insert expletive) is not ok.

The Goldberg bashing is way out of line. If you can't bash fighters, can't bash Dana White, then you shouldn't be able to bash Goldberg. He gets so much heat for what? Saying the wrong thing once in a while? It's live television, he's in a high-pressure situation, not everything is going to be 100% correct, and the bashing he gets is uncalled for. So he called Wanderlei Silva the 'Iceman' this weekend after his win? Thousands of posters get bent out of shape, calling for his resignation, saying how bad he is, just for one little mistake? And it's not like this mistake really matters now is it.

I think the mods really should clamp down on it

I think that Commentator bashing should be listed as a no no as well. Commentators (believe it or not) have had to put in lots of hard work to get to where they are now (as well as your favorite run of the mill fighter/promoter) Whether I like them or not, they still deserve respect. Just like those who dont like a specific card wont buy it - if you dont like what they say turn the volume down.

I personally don't see anything wrong with criticizing commentators as long as its warranted.

I agree, Goldie gets WAY too much negative reaction.

The truth is that there ARE some terrible commentators out there but Goldie isn't one of them, Joe Rogan either for that matter. They are the slickest team out there imo.

I've been on the radio before as an expert commentator on a radio health show and it's hard to say the right thing the right way all of the time, and that's when I"M the expert. Let along a guy like Mike Goldberg who didn't know the first thing about mma when he first started. The guy has learned a lot and even started training from what I hear. He does great work.

Squeeky wheel gets the grease, since commentators are doing all the talking they get their share of the flaming.

I think Rogan/Goldberg are the best team out there. Mauro does a good job also.

yeah the bill goldberg hate has to stop-- hes funny as hell to watch

Criticizing and bashing are two completely different things.

Ex.

Goldberg really screwed up. Lutter is definitely not the Michael Jordan of MMA. What was he thinking?

Very different from

Goldberg is a fucking moron
