I've been thinking about this, and he must realize by now how dumb and badly rehearsed he sounds, so I'm wondering is this the actual "gimmick" here? He's like that guy who shows up at parties and says "offensive" shit just to see if he can clear the room. I think he's deliberately trying to be as unfunny and unlikable as possible, and the big payoff is to see how many nerds jump on his wagon just so he can make fun of them for jocking him.

I don't think he's trying to copy Conor or even Chael. He literally has no material.
