Sonnen sociologist impresses me because he could have other choices to study at Oregon but he chose Sociology which not many people like, thats the weird thing here.

no, because (I think) most people just study to do their job as a doctor, lawyer, engineer, etc but for the sociologist his job IS to understand social changes around the world and through different times of history. so they spend most of the time analysing society.
