Does anyone else notice the similarities? Joaquin pretended to quit acting to pursue a rap career... it turned out to all be part of a mockumentary he was filming.

Equally ridiculous, C.M. Punk quit wrestling to become a UFC fighter at the age of 38, with no experience. He has a camera crew following him around to make a documentary out of it. It seems a bit fishy to me.

He is a huge waste of money and most likely will never fight. There are way more exciting/better fighters than him who actually belong in the UFC.

That would hurt UFC's nonexistent credibility even more and make them look silly as they are.

I think he's having second thoughts. He's got a lot to lose if he loses and he's one and done. And I think it was a terrible decision to enter the UFC with not only no amateur experience, but virtually no martial arts experience whatsoever. So he's rolled a few times in BJJ and kicked some pads but who hasn't? Brock was different as he had relevant "real" wrestling experience and freakish athleticism. But now he's made a commitment so he's gonna have to get in there I suppose.

UFC may never recover.

Basically, Bellator wins if CM Punk doesn't fight.

He's not going to fight unless the UFC finds him an equal can to face. Probably a guy with only one professional fight and 0 amateur experience

I think it is great. I can't wait to see him fight. You all seem like whiny cry-babies to me.
Why so negative? If you don't like the UFC don't watch it.

If Punk pulled that rope-a-dope, it would be the single funniest thing the UFC has ever played a part in. If I could literally lmao, I would.

I think he'll definitely fight or at least make it to the point of having one scheduled. Whether he actually makes it into the octagon or withdraws with a mysterious ~injury~ remains to be seen. I can't imagine Punk's signing bonus or guarantee was exorbitant since he is a gamble due to all the reasons you supplied and then some. So I doubt it would hurt UFC too much financially. However, they would look like complete fools; then again, that's not exactly uncommon.

That is an interesting take.

They wouldn't let John Wayne Parr fight in TUF because he had no MMA experience so it is kind of BS.

I'd love to see him fight JWP or even Jason Ellis, at least with Ellis it might be competitive

They probably didn't let him on because of the 100+ kickboxing fights.

Lol you are crazy JWP would wreck him badly in the very first striking exchange, and Ellis would finish him under 2 minutes.

My favorite CM Punk gif. Supposedly trains BJJ and cant even do a fake armbar on a guy waiting for it to happen

Looks like he was going for an arm lock and stepping over, but Jericho pulled out and Punk transitioned to the arm bar.

Great scramble imo.
