this was the coolest book in the gym back in 2008. In it, BJ breaks down all aspects of MMA. Is this book from one of the greatest at his prime still relevant today?

I never knew it existed. Thanks for posting TS reading the pdf online right now.

When i started training BJJ i read his book on the closed guard

Yeah, it's not like getting top position and GNP became ineffective. Good head position against the cage is the same as it's always been. The same punching combos to takedowns still happen every card.
The question is... How much does any book really help you learn martial arts? Youtube is better.

Unfortunately he ruined his reputation and legacy to such an extreme point that whatever he does or whatever he did is now completely irrelevant

This is a motivated book of knowledge, and I came across this one at an airport once.

I also own this book. Just because Fedor is a shell of his former self doesn't mean the knowledge in the book isn't valid

this book deserver 10 threads on it. Tell us Master, what's in it? I call those who finish reading this a "Sensei" for they obtained the long forbidden knowledge.

The more ways you take in knowledge, the better. Youtube, books, instruction, exams, teaching others, practice, competition. Repeat. BJ in his prime would repeat drill the same basic armbar 1000 times on each side.

i use this book to teach my kids how not to spell certain words. 7 Billion copies sold world-wide in all languages. I highly recommend reading before bed time.

I have a copy. It's not going to make you a UFC champion, but it's still good knowledge for anyone who doesn't use those techniques.

Video is better for techniques. Books can be better for overall strategy, tactics, psychology, and philosophy.
