Before last night i thought almost anyone whos been following this sport ranks Urijah much higher than Bisping. Urijah is the 2nd best FW ever careerwise and most see him top 5 alltime @ BW as well. Really only a handful of guys at best can claim theyre top 5 alltime in 2 different weight classes. Altho with both men they were known for never being able to stamp themselves as the best fighter in the world at their weight while in the UFC (Urijah was obviously the best FW in the world at one point in WEC).
Urijah was able to get to the title shot by beating the top guys minus the champ while Bisping always lost to that guy and choked when it mattered really not having more than 2 or 3 top wins before fighting Luke. But last night Michael was able to do what Urijah has never been able to, in rise to the occasion in a UFC title fight and take out the champ. Does this now cement Bisping as a greater fighter than Faber or is Urijahs greater body of work and consistency over the years over two divisions (including only losing once in a non title fight to alltime great Frankie Edgar for an insane 28-1 record) override this massive win which is far better than any win Urijah has? It caught my attention seeing how these 2 looked post fight
