Barnett is a cool cat, who cares about steroids, he started fighting in the 90ies, everybody was using.

Imagine competing against guys like Mark Kerr back in the day and thinking "in the next 20 years this sport could become mainstream, there will be drug tests and nerds on the internet could potentially criticize me".

It's funny, I boycott his fights because I don't think anyplace that makes even a pretense out of drug testing should hire him, but as a person, I like the guy, I like hearing what he has to say. Basically, I'm good with him except where it comes to fighting. I don't even know when he had his last fight. I thought he was retired.

Edit: The other option I haven't seen mentioned is Vitor Belfort. There are a lot of people that want to see TRT Vitor fight again (not me,) so I think it's between these two guys.

As others have stated, he’s a guy who’s been around since the dark ages when steroids were a given and has never been enough of a factor in GOAT debates to shatter anyone’s superhero fantasy list.

When you observe the MMA landscape, it’s hard not to greet each PED bust with a degree of cynicism. I’m of the opinion that everyone probably is using or has used at some point in his career. The numbers and names are far too damning at this point for me to expect otherwise. Besides, think about what you’re asking these guys to do and what they’re potentially risking each time they go in there. Hell, I’d be using too. You can have your virtue. I’d rather have my health.
