This fight will be very different to both fighter's last fights. Holm and Shevchenko wont have to worry about being taken down.

I think this will be a good fight and that Shevchenko can eventually show her talent, she would have finished Nunes had their fight been a five rounder and could even be the champion now.

I know that a lot of people are counting out and picking Holm to win, but her biggest win is against a one dimensional fighter who is terrible at striking, while Rousey isn't a bad win, I feel that is the reason why most are picking her to win this fight. Looking at her fight with Tate, she did a good job of keeping Tate off of her, until she didn't, but Tate isn't a great striker either. Holm didn't show any urgency and was happy to counter like she was with Ronda, but with less consistency. But I could be wrong, and Holm will run through Shevchenko.

Holm is a better boxer, but Shevchenko is a more well rounded striker and better in the clinch and with kicks etc.
Who is with Shevchenko?

Valentina can absolutely win this fight. She's the real deal & will be well prepared. It's a very interesting fight. Not sure who I have winning yet but I think it will be close.

She has a chance but I believe Holm will win. Holm tasted defeated in a fight that she was winning. I don't think Holm will leave it up to her opponent to come back. I think Holm will go for the kill in this fight.

I see her as a slight underdog against Holm, almost 50/50.

When they get in the ring, we will see the size and reach disparity between the two fighters.

Holm 1st round KO ala Aldo-McGregor

How has Shevchenko done with longer fighters in kickboxing?

Why wouldn't Shechenko look for top position?

I wouldnt be surprised if Shevchenko wins after Holm´s performance vs Miesha ... but imo this will be mostly a standup fight , and i believe Holm has an edge .. still, it should be very interesting to say the least.

Valentina is a +290 underdog currently, Holm is the sizeable favorite at -350. I'm personally gonna put something on Valentina. I believe this fight is going to be a lot closer than the odds indicate. Holm's price is way too high. If you look at her UFC fights other than the Rousey fight she doesn't deserve the odds as a -350 favorite.

Shevchenko is definitely capable of winning although I dint think she will. I believe Holly will fight safer than she had before (if you can imagine) due to her Meisha loss. She has a very difficult frame/skillset for anyone else in the division to match up with. She can keep almost anyone at a safe distance. She'll jab and circle her way to the rest of her victories unless she faces Ronda or any one else who will employ the "tard charge" strategy or in the rare event she fights cyborg. I like Valentina but I see her having a lot of trouble with Holly.

it's a pick-em fight for me but i do know that it will be a boring 25 min point fighting session

Well she could do to win a round, but she is a better striker then grappler.
My assessment would be:
She's a better striker than grappler.
Holm is a better striker than grappler.
Shevchenko is a better grappler than Holm.

I think it makes sense for Shevchenko to go for the takedown and top position.

It could happen, but Holm is only 3 inches taller and has 2 inches more reach, while it's not too big of an advantage, and Shevchenko is really experienced and has probably been hit harder in Muay Thai.

Bullet is a kicker with some punches and Holm a puncher with some kicks.
Valentina is one of my favourite fighters.

Bullet by decision but with a bloodied nose.

We will see, and I am super confident that Holm will beat Shev convincingly if not knock her out early..size difference IS significant.

Pretty much where I'm sitting on this one.
