Nobody was really picking poirier.. but is anyone picking Ferguson to win? how do you see him winning?

The best Tony can beat Khabib maybe 50% of the time. But Tony is getting old and injured.

Ferguson's definitely a live dog in this fight. If he had the guillotine choke that Poirier did it could well have been a different story. That being said I don't think Khabib's going to sub Tony or vice versa so I'd imagine Tony's best chance is surviving the 1st round or 2 where he will be on his back for a substantive period then bringing the offense in the latter rounds. Could definitely see him winning a decision.

Im betting on Tony coz his necks bigger than his head and cant be headlocked

i think tonys movement will keep him safe and they'll go to decision split for khabib. tony outlands him on feet for the scorecards and drops khabib good once, but khabib drops tony with a looping right during an exchange. they both survive, however khabib lands a take down 3 minutes into both the 3rd and 4th rounds and controls him on the ground for them securing him 2 rounds on the scorecard.

Tony ankle picks him then pulls guard.

I'll root for Tony but it will be a close fight.

Tony is too creative to let Khabib blanket him the whole night. The most intriguing fight in the whole of MMA.

Sadly, I don’t think Tony is the answer.

Call me a jackass or whatever. I think Justin does better than tony. I don’t think Justin is better than tony, but his skill set off sets khabib better.

I've been picking Tony to win everytime the fight was set, nothing's changed.

I think Tony has a great shot as his style of fighting is crazy. You just don't know what he's going to do. Khabib will struggle to control him like others

I hope Tony wins simply because he is much more exciting to watch compared to Khabib. There are way to many variables in MMA for me to pick a fighter to win and I don't do stupid luck, or stupid predictions based on a feeling like most "experts" in here.

I'm not taking Tony over Khabib, no. But he has a shot. Khabib is the best in the division, definitely, but he is not some unbeatable God. He'll take losses too if he fights long enough, like just about anyone else. And Tony represents a fairly unique set of challenges for him. So it would be silly to count him out. The odds should be favouring Khabib by a significant margin, though, obviously.

I'd give him a high chance of winning relative to others. So about a 30% chance for Ferguson.

I think Tony absolutely could. But I believe it will take more than one attempt. Much in the same way that Shogun v Daniel san part 1 was Shogun's perfect storm v The elusive precision of Machida... Notwithstanding the robbery aspect of it. Shogun timed and worked out Machida with those leg kicks and maybe thought that they would be enough. 2nd fight he knew exactly how to counter Machida's low kick counter and KO'd him in the 2nd or 3rd exchange.

I think Tony would need a good look at Khabib to get the job done.

Pretty sure tony, if he can keep his mental state composed enough to be able to train properly, is a great matchup to beat khabib.

I'm super-biased, admittedly, but I think people are under-estimating Tony's abilities to get out of trouble and for generating offense from unseen vectors. I think Tony has a real chance to win.
