"Solemnly swear to support and defend" crowd here.
my God what a lost soulOur whole society seems to be geared to get rid of any pride in the West or individual country. It's looked down upon unfortunately.
Our education system teaches patriotism as bad and to do with colonialism/racism.
It's all down to the Left, got nothing to do with the Right. The Left want no borders. The Left wants lots of immigration from countries that have nothing to do with the Host nation. The Left is actively trying to change the demographic of each country, as is the EU and UN. If everyone in every country ends up the same they are far easier to control by the likes of the UN.
The Left ridicule patriotism.
The Left [which includes almost all the media] is openly trying to destroy our culture/traditions/pride.
75yrs ago everyone was patriotic, it was the end of the war. So in such a short space of time we've ended up like we are.
With our prime minister saying my country doesnt have a culture- that is to say that we dont share beliefs and values, and the proliferation of division amongst our ranks..
What does it mean to be patriotic? Identity politics have split us, we share no culture or values, big business interests and the few govern us.. what exactly am I proud of or supporting?
I am at the point I do not want to stand for an anthem tbh. I was born into an arbitrary set of lines on a globe that mean and stand for nothing. Why do I want to stand for a song to glorify a set of lines? A set of lines that have passed the reigns of society over to faceless greedy corporations?
Are you patriotic? If so, why? It seems so cuck to me in 2020.
Globalists have done every single thing to undermine national identity so what exactly do I have allegiance to?

Go where though?to quote Doug Stanhope ((again)) "the only things nationalism teaches us is to hate people we have never met and to take credit for achievements that arent our own"
after 44 years in Canada....Im ready to go and will be gone before the year is out
You're right, it was a nation of immigrants with different cultures, values and backgrounds. The one thing that kept them together and united them was the American dream and the adopted the values of the constitution. Liberty and freedom were a big part of the new shared culture.
We are walking away from that though, the culture seems to shifting more towards identity politics based and less freedom based. Look no further than the attempts to police expression. It's less freedom for all in the pursuit of excellence, and more blame others for my station and try to limit their freedom/power.
Does that make sense?
You start out in 1954 by saying, "N*****, n*****, n*****." By 1968 you can't say "n*****" — that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states' rights and all that stuff. You're getting so abstract now [that] you're talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you're talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is [that] blacks get hurt worse than whites. And subconsciously maybe that is part of it. I'm not saying that. But I'm saying that if it is getting that abstract, and that coded, that we are doing away with the racial problem one way or the other. You follow me — because obviously sitting around saying, "We want to cut this," is much more abstract than even the busing thing, and a hell of a lot more abstract than "N*****, n*****."
What the founding fathers of the USA stood for was GOAT tier in terms of theory. If they were to see the rise of the corporation as an entity and fiat currency and the banking system and political capture they would shit in their pants.
