Just curious. I have not heard much about this aspect at all. Well, aside from rich guys that have taken a beating in the stock market.

We all know everyone on Sherdog is loaded, a few weeks off is just pocket change for anyone posting here.

I'm that rich guy that sucked a dick with my butthole in the stock market (nohomo its just an expression)

Just kidding, not rich at all. but I did get absolutely POUNDED. doing fine for right now tho..

lolno.

I think, in the short term and in general, that only business owners are affected by this. Probably severely so. The rest of us are just chewing grass and chilling.

Being essential, I'm still working and getting weekly bonuses for doing so. And with all the bars and casinos being closed, I'm forced to save most of it. Not hurting for cash...hurting for fun!

i work for a public utility that cant be shut down so ive been lucky not to have my work/finances impacted. But I did have a facebook friend, someone i havent seen in 20 years who wasnt even that close a friend to begin with, contact me just 24 hours ago saying that hes in a bad spot and is staying at a motel 6 with his wife and 2 kids and asked if i could call the hotel and give them permission to run my card for 1 additional nights stay at 107$. My only hesitation was that i might be getting scammed so I made sure the whole hotel for 1 night was legit and spoke with the hotel directly. I figure worst case scenario, this guy is getting wasted looking for a helping hand to get him and his boys another nights stay. But the alternative was that a man with a family was in need of help and according to him, might have to sleep in a car. I can look myself in the mirror with either of those possibilities if I helped which I did.

It has been less than 2 weeks for most. So, if you're not a restarant, bar, small business owner, or minimum wage worker, I don't think you should be at the point of financial ruin just yet...

Pretty sure you get pounded on the regular.

A lot of people are getting fired.

Some of my businesses have been hit pretty hard. Doesn't help that I purchased a travel company last year, which is essentially dead and bleeding money right now.

I'm still very healthy cash wise, so I'll see how this plays out. Might be some good opportunities that arise.

78% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck with 1/3rd of them having no savings whatsoever. And that's considering the fact that the average American makes between 28k to 42k a year - if you make $33k a year, your'e in the 1% of earners in the world. And yet folks in the U.S., the best earners, are about to get fucked. Let alone the rest of the planet.

This thing will wreck the world (if it goes on like this). And of course you only hear about the struggles of the rich cause the profile of the perfect C-19 victim fits the profile of most bored boomers who run this shindig. None of these drastic measures would've been implemented had they not been worried about their own ass and mainly different demographics were targeted.

I'm still getting my hours, so I'm okay for now. I'm having to fight for my contracted hours though.

At some point, I'll probably be furloughed, but as long as my time off is paid by the government (Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme), I should be okay. If not, I have savings, but they'll bleed out fairly quickly.

I'm good, i work in IT so we're pretty much even more under demand now with everyone using their phones even more and working remotely. Feel sorry for any casual working Sherbros though

Not hurting for money but my business definitely is taking a beating. The silver lining is this is normally a slow period anyways so if it were to happen, this would have the least impact. (stationary/office supply)

In my area a lot of businesses had to close down, where is that money for them coming from? Our national deficit?

I'm doing alright, my family not so good.

My brother works for two theatres, one of them is paying him zero now but he's still getting money from the second.

My sister and her boyfriend both work for an airline so I'm expecting them to lose their jobs any day now or at best be forced to take unpaid leave.

I had a good chunk of money saved up and have been just chilling. It's boring but I think I'll be okay.

I bought a couple thousand cryptos in the last two days and a $295 magic card so my priorities are straight. The opposite of @IloveTHIS ' experience... Straight...
